There's been plenty of time since we saw Microsoft giving the green light to its Windows Mobile 6.5 platform, but the Sprint HTC Touch Pro2 is still left sitting on the sidelines as other handsets get the much needed official treatment. Based on a “Sprint Small Business Catalog” mailer, it displays the venerable smartphone seeing the light of a Windows Mobile 6.5 update this month – specifically displaying a “software update coming in March” in its respective column. As we continue to see the latest version of the platform (WM 6.5.3) come out for some other handsets, the Sprint HTC Touch Pro2 will really need to do some catching up. Nonetheless, it still is classified as one of the most popular current Windows Mobile handsets to grace the carrier's lineup. With already a solid week into the month, we're sure there are owners out there counting down the days until it's finally here.
