Very smart actually. Kids need to be learning, and exerting energy, ya know exercising. Obesity goes hand and hand with a sedentary lifestyle, all this sitting around playing games watching tv, movies etc is no good, and forms bad habits. My son works out, and knows he has too, to be healthy.

NO SH*T. Some people should just never have kids. I have seen babies in strollers with iPads on right in front of them hours on end. Holding a device up to your eyes messes them up so bad as an adult, imagine as a child. Kids should be utilizing devices later in life. Kids should be outside doing physical activities, socializing (not instragram or facebook), using imaginations. My sister in law has 6 kids. They all use phones, tablets, iPods. And sad to say they are all dumb as a stumps. The older one at 14 can't even name computer components like (graphics cards, processors, harddrives) he didn't even know what a USB flashdrive was. When I was 11 years old I was building my own gaming PC. My parents barely spoke english and always had me outside and I still learned. Devices make kids lazy as hell. Mix that with bad parenting.....can't wait to see what the future holds. A bunch of know it all googling dumb stumps.

I believe the moral of this news by doctors, is to get parents and their kids to recognize more need in actual interactive socializing with other kids. Today' kids are more intreverted and sheltered from doing what helps the growth of young kids. They need to be outside and playing with other kids. Not being glued to electronic devices.
