Display Mate rates the screen on the Nokia Lumia 2520 above the display on the Microsoft Surface 2

Display Mate recently ran a head-to-head comparison off the screens on the Nokia Lumia 2520 and the Microsoft Surface 2. The latter tablet has moved up to an FHD display of 1920 x 1080 from the OG version's resolution of 1366 x 768. That matches the resolution on the Nokia Lumia 2520, although it should be noted that the screen on Nokia's model is 10.1 inches vs. the 10.6 inch panel on the Microsoft slate...

As one who owns both: I Couldn't Agree More.
My Lumia 2520 is quickly turning out to be the single best larger tablet I've yet owned, and I've owned dozens.
The vibrancy, brightness, outdoor visibility and color reproduction surpass ANY tablet I've purchased this year e.g. Surface 2, iPad Air, iPad Mini-R, among others.
Once people come to their senses and realize that Windows RT/Modern UI is far more efficient, well-optimized and useful on tablet devices less than 11 inches, tablets like the Lumia 2520 will finally get the respect/market adoption they deserve and the app catalog/developer market will explode.
Excellent Work Nokia... now bring out that 8 inch (Lumia 2020) version already.

2) iPad Mini w/ Retina
3) Surface 2
4) Possibly more?

I've lightened up to Windows RT a little. Even if it is sort of a crippled version of Windows 8, it's still more productive than any other mobile tablet OS out there, the app selection is really all it's missing.

While I dont have a problem with ths 2520 which I myself have, the main issues is one of the apps CBS which worked on the Surface 2, just doesnt work on the 2520, when I try to play videos it gives me an error and crashes, and between other things, I use other videos through the browser and then some wont play in full screen, while it tries to place it on full screen ,the video just gets placed on a corner and the rest black background, and yes I tried to play it on my normal pc and there are no problems, so I know is an issue from the tablet itself.

No more once it becomes M$ property, pending tax dispute with Indian authorities who have frozen all immovable assets of Nokia in India.

I am liking this tablet more and more. Now, if only they would release it in Cyan I would go out and buy one.

I think, if im not mistaken white and cyan are exclusive to some store in europe. I remember seeing a few ads with red, black, white, and cyan and found something saying white and cyan are exclusive

Hmm. I'm starting to question the advantage of S2 over the 2520 now.

Did anyone catch the Verizon Christmas commercial for the Nokia 2520 during Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.? They definitely made a point to talk about how great the screen is.

folks it looks like Nokia did to the Windows RT tablets what it did for Windows smart phones when it introduced the Nokia Lumia 920. Nokia made a product that made the Public look at Windows smart phones as a smart phone worth buying and people went and bought them and love what they purchased. I hope Microsoft big wigs are smart and keepit in production and get the Apps makers to make GOOD QUALITY App for it. now if the MS surface 2 gets the Nokia Screen tech and uses it wow the Surface 2 will get better too. Folks Microsoft's
Smartphones and tablets can be made to use all the high tech components that are out there
today but what Microsoft needs now is more software features for it smartphones and Tablets. the coming Windows phone 8 upgrade to Windows phone 8.1 will bring some sft ware improvements and new features.
