HA HA HA.....and now that VZW has officially announced the Pre for 2010, Sprint and plan on kissing more customers goodbye!

These vzw and att subs want to justify paying more for less, silly IMO, but to each thier own. None of them realize w/o Sprint there wouldn't be a push for LTE and they would be pay a lot more for the little they get

Sprint's customer service problems of the past are haunting them today, truly sad, because their coverage is excellent and their customer service is much improved. The problem is the fanboys on other networks, especially VZW, think that everything else is junk. I work for VZW and have Sprint service for personal use and, honestly, Sprint is just as good with the exception of a few rural areas. VZW and Sprint both provide excellent service and although VZW writes my paycheck, I wont let fanboys bash Sprint with information that is simply not true, competition is good for EVERYONE, so stop praising 1 carrier. Sprint must shake off that bad stigma they have, otherwise they are a much improved company. By the way MetroPCSGorilla, Direct Connect PTT is NOT WORTHLESS, there is a huge market for it and thats why VZW has invested millions into PTT and is aiming its guns at Nextel Direct Connect.

I agree. Of all the carriers out there, Sprint's Direct Connect PTT is WORSE that VZW's or at&t due to the fact the latter(s) works on any cell radio tower where Sprint's has to use the iDEN network towers only and sorry but have you LOOKED at a Nextel Coverage map? Interstate roads and a 25-50 mile radius for the most part for coverage. Pretty sad. Also, you can convert the PTT in at&t into a phone call and vice versa. Not Sure about VZW but try THAT on Direct Connect on Sprint. Pffft!

you dont have your facts straight man. sprint phones with dc use sprint towers, not iden! there ptt (qchat) works on evdo reva, like vzw. vzw also works on 1xrtt but good luck having a conversation as you will be waiting forever. sprints dc can connect to any iden phone, but it doesnt use there towers, unless its pure iden. and you can convert ptt into a phone call with sprint. you can also block a dc number, and a number of other options.

I made the switch from an iPhone on AT&t to a Pre on Sprint. Let me just say, I do not miss the iPhone at all! Sure the apps were very, very handy.. But Sprint's service blows away AT&t's where I live. AT&t is the best service in the East Coast, no doubt, but in the West, it's terrible. I support AT&t because they are so open and let customers have 3rd party apps, but Sprint is just awesome. Boo Verizon. I don't get how anyone could enjoy that provider. Sure, they have good service, but DAMN does it burn me when they send me a refurbished phone that I payed so much for in insurance fees. It also eats me up that they only allow their horrible OS on their phones. Lastly, their phones suck. Pressure sensitive touch screens are the worst, almost as bad as "SurePress." (which was an epic fail on RIM's part, by the way.)

This is, without a shadow of a doubt, my favorite article....I hate sprint fanboys!!!!!

Yeah, your right...Verizon invents these pressure sensitive phones right? I guess the Samsung Moto and LG logo's are just for show? Let me ask you something if your Saturn doesn't have as many features as my Lexus are you going to switch Dealers? Manufacturers build a device to meet Nationwide "desires" so they display these to the buyers and sell them to each carrier based on the Demands....Its all marketing, its all consumer demands, and its all business. VZW provides Fast 3G and Coverage almost everywhere, NOT a phone MANUFACTURER...And as far as your refurb issue, tell me a provider (not insurance company) that will replace a phone for you at their expense and give you a new one? Because this sentence here " but DAMN does it burn me when they send me a refurbished phone that I payed so much for in insurance fees" KEYWORD INSURANCE FEES...Every insurance provider requires a deductible either up front or at incident and if you choose not to have insurance (which everyone is offerd at time of purchase) than thats your cheap ass fault. Point is, don't mistake CARRIER for BABY SITTER...or Carrier for manufacturer, or President of the United States. And a side note to At&t "openness" "I support AT&t because they are so open and let customers have 3rd party apps, but Sprint is just awesome" WTF does that even mean, that sentence doesn't make sense...I support America because their borders are so open, but Canada is just AWESOME...

Oh please, call me cheap. Rofl, I pay more in taxes than your house holds value. What I'm saying is that Verizon locks their shit down. That's obvious. Everyone knows it. And Verizon's UI's/OS blow dick. We all know that too. Who gives a flying shit if Verizon doesn't manufacture the phones, they decide whether they want them. No touch screen beats the iPhone's, and Verizon shot that phone down like a kamikaze. Verizon is shit. I had it. It's no better than Sprint and all the fanboys (like you) will never realize that. Have a good day.

Papa, you missed the OS and 3rd party apps in your retort. Verizon has 3 interesting phones (EnV Touch, EnV 3 and Strum) but only the Storm is unlocked thanks to RIM's App World

Papa, where's the comeback for the OS and locking that your carrier does? Verizon 4, soon to be 5, niche phones but only the Storm can use any GPS or have access to 3rd party apps because of RIM insistense on allowing Blackberry Maps and App World. I am dying to see what lame answer comes behind mine
