0. phoneArena 21 Apr 2013, 14:23 posted on

A company called MarketPsychData tracks the emotional feelings toward a company from hundreds of online sources and by matching this up against a stock chart, traders use this data to make buy or sell decisions; what we're interested in here is the data that shows a public gaining confidence in a fallen Apple...

True. I do wonder why they're so reluctant though.

Honestly, getting back to the title, I don't see where this increase in confidence is coming from. We've all heard a lot about what apple could do, but they haven't really done anything big since the Ipad. Or are there other recent apple products that seem interesting that they've actually produced?

I think they're confusing confidence with hope in these results. There are people out with vested interests in AAPL and there are Apple enthusiasts out there that enjoy the brand. They all want to see Apple as no less than #1.
Stories keep getting posted that Apple is working on this and that... things like new Apple TV's, and iWatches, and flexible displays, etc. bolstering those hopes.
However, so far all we know for sure is they're making a smaller iPad, and most likely making a cheaper iPhone. For their sake, they better hope Apple managed to pull off a nearly unheard of level of R&D secrecy and will unveil something soon that brings back the "wow" factor.

Apple needs to rock the boat a little "as in a lot". That will drive consumer interest, which will in turn drive investor interest. Apple already is a well known brand, and a household name, that's gives them the strong foundation of being a credible company. Apple however needs to do their part with exciting, innovating, and new products. The consumer response to the rehashing of the iPhone line, and under powering the iPad mini should be a clear indicator to apple that we demand more. Apple is nowhere near dead, but they've been put on notice, to put up or shut up. I for one am not even the least bit interested in a 5S that looks exactly like the 5. To me Sammy knows incremental upgrades better than apple. The s4 is incremental to the s3, but does look physically different, and has major software/hardware upgrades. My confidence in apple is shaken, but not dead. I feel apple could have something major in store due to the secrecy they've shown this year... Lets hope so.

Sammy may do incremental upgrades, but Apple does turtle-like incremental upgrades, and at least Sammy does attempt at adding cool things, like tapping phones to transfer data. All apple has been doing is coming up with marketing campaigns to lure customers into believing that it sells innovative products. Eventually, the lies and deceit will catch up with Apple.

im curious to know how much apple pays this website and its writers to write all the crap and B.S. that they write. If the public was "beginning" to feel better about apple, the stock would not be falling, and they haven't felt good about apple in a while.. otherwise the stock wouldnt have fell so drastically... What is this "beginning to feel better about" Crap...?
Gimme a break

Hmm so that means Apple lost public confidence in first place to try and regain it based on rumors :D

Apple need to learn a lot of things from Samsung and other manufacturers, the design needs to be changed, the iOS needs to be redesigned, the features need to be added more!

I won't say the Samsung Galaxy S4 is a fail, yes the design is disappointing, but just look at those beasty features! Smart scroll, smart pause, air gesture, dual shot camera etc.

Oh my god.......that's why Samsung can keep on going up, because they are creative and smart! Learn something Apple, learn!
