His mistake was pursuing the same strategy that Google tried with the Nexus One. Even if they are offering great phones, not selling them directly to people through AT&T stores and other outlets makes very little sense. I hope his departure leads to a more sensible approach to selling phones, they can start by making the Streak available at AT&T stores with Froyo preinstalled as soon as possible.

If it says unlocked, then it should be unlocked. I would have bought one on the T-mobile network, but with no 3G bands it didn't have a chance.

Were it not for my beloved Aria, I would have one of these lovely devices already. I think it is the perfect blend in size and portability. The 1.6 was a big no-no. I was hoping to pick one up anyway and get the Froyo from XDA.
