You're full of jokes today Charlene. I didn't know it was Open Mic Night at the Chuckle Bucket.
Bazinga!
Being an Android toting zombie aficionado though, I will have to check it out.

i wouldn't put gaming in Android's Basket. iOS definitely has us there because it's not as big a pain in the ass to develop for. it was nice when we had that exclusivity on Minecraft: PE though. ;D

I do the same... I've got a whole homescreen devoted to games, folders filled with games n' emulators. And I barely touch them.
I'm just not that big on touchscreen gaming yet I guess. Probably won't be until the make my hands invisible. I already know what the backs of my fingers look like.

yeah, i know what you mean. another reason why i still love physical keyboards. when i went to play some Pokemon games on my Droid 3 i'd just map out keys to emulate the experience of playing on a Gameboy.

My only issue with Mobile Games really is the "free" to download but then they force you to pay to continue to play the game. Dead Trigger is an awesome game but you have to pay real money to get the decent weapons and items and the game can eventually become really difficult without them and forcing a lot of people to pay. I would rather have the real price tag up front and have all of the items and weapons available. If they want to charge you optional DLC later for new weapons, maps, items, etc. That's perfectly fine as long as it stays optional and doesn't force you just to keep playing.

I guess some people like to be tricked into thinking they are downloading a free game and love being "surprised" by in app required purchases in order to proceed. lol yes I am one of "those" gamers who hates Crapcom for putting DLC characters IN THE DISC and then making you pay for it later. If it's in the game disc/app already, I shouldnt have to pay for it. I always welcome future expansions and content but if I paid for the game/app already, whatever is in the game/app I should have rights to.

unlike you seemingly, some gamers are actually good enough to get by without DLC. xD

Get by without DLC? I'm not talking about "getting by" I am talking about expansions like Dawnguard is for Skyrim. So what you are saying is, people download Dawnguard because Skyrim is too difficult to beat? lol I am talking about in app purchases of upgrades and weapons that you CANT get without buying them with real money. No matter how much you level up or get in game cash, you still have to BUY it.

you didn't say anything about add-ons that expand the game as a whole, you said weapons and items which really aren't necessary in games. they're cool to have but i wouldn't use them online because it makes you look like a tool. game developers don't make it necessary to have DLC to play through their games. weapon and item DLC makes it easier, but not necessary and then of course there's DLC like Dawnguard and such that expand the game as a whole. that's where i drew my judgement from.

DLC and IAP's are 2 different things. DLC is extra content, like levels and such. Hence the acronym DLC= DownLoadable Content. IAP's are usually weapons or items to make the "freemium" game playable.
I wouldn't even use the DLC term in the mobile industry. It's pretty much all IAP's.

i have never, ever heard the term IAP and i've been gaming for a long time. i know what DLC stands for, spelling it out to me didn't really make out any kind of point for you since it's all downloadable content. xD
