Dalai Lama apps get blocked out by Apple in China

The Dalai Lama is going to have somewhat of a difficult time getting across people now that Apple has blocked access to certain Dalai Lama apps in China. Apple isn’t doing this on their own behalf; instead they are following protocol according to China’s laws – resulting in mostly Dalai Lama quote apps being blocked from the Chinese App Store. Some of them include Dalai Quotes, Dalai Lama Quotes, Dalai Lama Prayerwheel, and Paging Dalai Lama.
Additionally, apps relating to Rebiya Kadeer who is an exiled leader that’s despised by Chinese authorities are inaccessible from the Chinese App Store. Apple’s spokeswoman, Trudy Muller, has commented that “We continue to comply with local laws. Not all apps are available in every country.”

Sorry, both wrong. While I am sure either or both shows have made reference to that joke, the joke itself was originated by a 80's comedian Yackov Smirnov (sp?). While he faded from glory a couple decades ago, he still writes a column for AARP magazine.
