i got the upgrade today, in my mind hoping that there was a battery adjustment as mine has been going haywire. I made some sacrifices, such as a 30 sec display time and taking the gps off as well as wifi (which is always off). I just want to last throughout the day. Wont sacrifice my pandora, but since that update anything drains the battery. And now my service sucks and i get failed text messages. Should i get it looked at? What's ur opinion? I will give it a week. Just waiting for the HTC Merge. NICE!!

I've been having the same awful battery life and failed service as you since my Droid upgraded to Froyo. It was so bad (3-4 hours on a charge when I used to get 12-14 with the same settings), I had go to Verizon to get a replacement phone. After a lot of work with them to assure them it wasn't anything on my end, they finally sent me a new Droid. Unfortunately, this one seems to have the same problem. I guess Droid just doesn't love Froyo.

I purchased a droid incredible about a month ago, had the phone for 5 days, had to reset it twice, got numerous force close errors. This operating system is a joke. Was so relieved to get rid of it. I know many people with the same problems, across different model droids. Whats the hype over these phones?

thats the thing. all android is is hype. sure it has customization, but it fails at simple tasks, like working correctly. email on android is horrible. its terribly unstable. verizon is making a killing by convincing clueless teenagers that these devices are something revolutionary.

They are revolutionary. Simply laptop replacements. Froyo was not a huge noticable improvement over 2.1 however there are more conveniences. As for e-mail, gmail is never an issue and neither is live from my experience. at the same time especially with the original droid owners, some droids have issues, others do not at all. the incredible when it launched had issues (like any other phone that initially launches) and then over the course of the next few weeks it gets fixed. when software fails, it's not the OS, it's the actual software, but at the same time these phones are like laptops, and like any laptop programs have a few issues every now and then. these are just phones after all, but the demand is so high and so are the expectations, no phone can ever meet them. the so called tech experts say stupid shit like "fail" over the most trivial things, but at the same time, it's what they were looking for. again ill restate that i am dissapointed with this flash update. maybe for multimedia experiences, but certain websites i visit and use for both personal and business use flash extensively, and not being able to view those webpages is a huge downer. so like a normal patient person, i will wait over the course of the fall to see what improvements will be made of the flash to make it usable across the board. high hopes, but i won't expect too much. android is awesome, doesn't mean it won't have issues. so if you are complaining that your phone is not working properly, then go get a new one, or get it fixed, but gauge what others are saying, on both sides of the spectrum, not just 10 people who agree with you.

You just dont seem to get it, bro. After returning my phone, i researched android online as well as spoke with users at my work place, and nearly all of them complained about the instability of Android. Either ignorance has clouded your sight or your just another fanboy, but Android need alot of work before it can truly be revolutionary as you claim.

Android does have tons of issues. Those issues can be defined as "user error".

My co-worker just got the update and now he cannot open .wav file email attached. When you open the attachment it switches to the music app and when says the file type is not supported. The .wav file attachments are actually voice mails from our corp phone system that delivered via unified messaging on our Exchange server. Can open attached on all other mobile phones, just not on FRG22D updated Droid. --Mike

wow...you couldnt have picked a worse phone to use on an exchange server. android + exchange = fail.
