The market share of the DRAM used by PC will shrink by 30% in 2014 and continue to fall to 28% in 2015 and 23% in 2016 all in favor of mobile electronic devices...

This is no surprise. Mobile devices sell the most. If you already have, let´s say 16 GB DRAM in your PC, why would you want to upgrade. But with phones, you buy new DRAM with a new phone, you can´t just take DRAM from the old phone to your new phone. It would certainly be cool if you could build your own phone like your PC.
By the way, I am waiting for SRAM, way faster and battery efficient, but more expensive and takes up more space though.
