Customer sends 662,000 texts in a month, feels proud of his accomplishment
Well, it seems the ongoing wild race for the largest number a text messages sent via a cell phone has somehow managed to escape our attention. The current record holder is a US customer of AT&T, who says he sent exactly 662 258 text messages in 30 days using his iPhone 3GS. He reveals details about his accomplishment in video and claims his itemized, monthly paper bill contains more than 12,000 pages. We tend to believe that. Anyway, we don´t have the slightest clue as to how many trees it takes to get enough paper for that number of pages, but what we do know is you probably need a lot. Or at least, a lot more than someone who undoubtedly used software to cheat his way to winning the unofficial competition deserves. How do we know? Well, 662,258 text messages sent in 30 days is equal to about 15 per minute and you would have to do it like 24-7.

The Dumbest thing is Wireless carriers cant even print TXT messages for this exact reason, not even to mention sending him the Full BIll Deatils pro actively. Working for a wireless company I can say this is 100% false and would never happen. If they sent him a BOX of paper with his bill, he paid out the ass for all of it, and in this demo it was 1 bill copied 13,000 times from his stoner freind at KINKO'S...Obviosly NOT TRUE. My theory, a serious typo on his At&t bill and he ran with it....Loser

Actually at&t has paperless billing. Please do some research before posting idiotic comments.

Oh, and trying to insult things by calling them 'gay' only shows your immaturity and homophobia. And there's no place for either here.

16. Vlondril posted on 22 Sep 2009, 14:02

and as a final note...the actual origional definition for gay is "happy"....so if you want to be technical...from all the iphone users i speak to in a day thats how 98% of them are with their device....i should know as I am ATT cust care

Homophobia is overused... just because someone uses the word "gay" does not mean they are Homophobic. I use the word all the time, and in no way intending to insult the homosexual community. If you are offended by the intent it was used, then you are obviously looking for a reason to be offended... there are too many people trying to victimize themselves and always looking for a reason to be offended. Stop with that. If it was used in a hateful way, then yeah, you may have reason to offended, but seriously, we all don't have to walk on egg shells for each other here.

25. vzw fanman posted on 22 Sep 2009, 17:21

everyone knows when you call something or someone gay it means stupid. if i were to use fag then i could see how some people would get offended.

Exactly!

Screw going green, that's for people who think they can save the planet driving a Prius. You should call it what it really is -- saving $$. Although I doubt they care about that even though I'm sure they wasted a whole $10 probably sending that bill. Amen on the gayphone haha.

There are no words for this amount of waste on so many levels.. trees, energy, human existance.

Fuck this moron, he is as stupid as this site is for believing he did this, he ran a homebrewed app that sends texts from his phone every 15 seconds and he ran it all month since the texts were basically all sent to the same person. So not a record, just someone who fooled everyone ( including the fucking morons who run this gay ass lame bullshit I Phone jock riding site )
