When iOS 8 was released, Apple iPhone users were allowed to call for Siri hands-free. There was one major caveat: the iPhone had to be plugged in to an outlet. When the Apple iPhone 6s and Apple iPhone 6s Plus launched in September, they came with an improved "Hey Siri" feature that allows users to activate the voice activated virtual personal assistant by saying "Hey Siri," even if the phone is not plugged in.

When Apple decided to promote this feature in a new television ad, it called upon one of America's most well-known personalities. Yeah, he's a little blue, but then again that is an affliction that he's always had. We're talking of course, about the Cookie Monster. As the ad starts, CM is busy cooking up a batch of cookies (what did you expect, blue meth?)  when he calls out for Siri to time 14 minutes.

While waiting for his cookies to bake, Cookie Monster asks Siri to play his "waiting" playlist. The first song on the list is "Time in a bottle" by the late Jim Croce. As the song plays we learn a couple of things. One, the song is not exactly one to play to get people inspired. And two, the Cookie Monster does not have much patience. And after what seems like an eternity, Cookie Monster asks Siri to check how much time is left until the cookies are ready. We won't give away what happens, but it is funny.
