Correct TooBig, We all love things that work in a non bugged fashion the way Android does.

your idiocy is not tolerable. We're talking about windows and ios here. We're talking about ipad and surface here. We're did android came from?
android is buggy? ha ha ha.
Regarding to mr. cook's comment about surface tablet. Yep, it's confusing. Can't argue with that. But people will get used to it once windows 8 is invading the world. So you're comparing a PC to iPad? Last time I checked, after spending sometimes to iPad, I got bored. Why? It's so simple. It's boring. It's for a child. No customization can be made except for the wallpaper. I rather choose confusing than boring. It's not all about simplicity we're talking here but also, productivity. iPad is a great device. You can play games, surf the net, watch movies, play music, read books, etc.. But surface is a full PC(not the RT version, but the Pro one). It's a tablet and a laptop. You can do photoshop. Programming. And do the things iPad could. That's a huge difference.

Handroid is a compromise even when used in phones, in tablets it is pathetic.

No, I think he's upset that the Microsoft tablets have no Homo-geneous button. I am flabbergasted, though, that his statements imply that the Surface Tablets are an "eye" Sore compared to Apple's oversized TouchPods.

Sell your s**t to your Sh33p.
I never ever heard even a single word from MS where they have compared Surface or Windows 8 with any other product out there.
This is the difference between a Real tech giant and you Apple.

I'm sorry but even professional reviewers have had problems with the software on the Surface. You guys don't have to defend a flawed product just because someone from Apple commented on it. It honestly reminds me of Republicans who will back Mitt Romney even though they knew full well he is a crappy candidate. They just hate Obama so much that they are willing to defend him. This is a new OS and it's going to have flaws. But when you have people who all they do is review software saying that says the hardware is better than the software, it's okay to admit it.

Unfortunately, this is not a new OS as, Microsoft has been hammering out Windows Mobile, and variations thereof, since at least 2002. Microsoft really had the edge on everyone in 2004, but their leadership under Steve Bald-mer only led to a devolution of the platform, and now they just keep crossing their fingers hoping that by some divine intervention the Global consumer has an Epiphany brought on by some psychotic episode due to the lack of appropriate medication.
But, that's no reason for Tim Cook to attack Microsoft.

I dont understand how ppl keep trying to give MS a break or saying its a new OS give it a chance. Surface, WP isnt brand new like Android or iOS was. Even if they started from the ground up...they already had experience with a mobile OS. MS isnt cut any slack on the desktop side....with ME and Vista. They compare them to older versions and say they suck, period. I understand giving it a chance saying wait for updates, but it being new doesnt fly...IMO. They have alot of experience at this.
I defend Vista tho because after updates, service paks it became alot better.

The hardware is pretty damn near perfect, so you're not making much of a point here...
Would I like to go for the i5 Surface Pro? Sure, if I didn't think it was going to cost double the price. I know that Windows 8 Pro runs beautifully on capable hardware because I've been running it on my desktop for two months now. The only question is how capable is that Tegra 3 at keeping the Modern UI fluid? So far, that answer across most reviews has been pretty positive.

I mean seriously, "comprimised" in the title?
Get your s*** together Mr. author/editor (if there even is one for this website).

These people from Apple are so much obsessed with the is**ts !

Its amazing Apple is so afraid of choice. And didnt Ballmer diss the hell outta the iPhone? Look how that turned out. Does Tim want a lil payback? I hope Surface succeeds in a big way just because of this article.
For functionality, I would chose Surface...after all the kinks get worked out. Depends on what the individual wants n needs as to what they choose: iPad or Surface.
Apple, stop hating on choice.
