Fortunately, the Motorola Bravo's appearance over on Consumer Cellular can be greeted with a little bit more fanfare since it’s being offered as an affordable no-contract device. By today’s standards, its hardware specs will hardly flatter anyone...

How are you going to scoff at its hardware? That's a bigger screen size than the “famous” iPhone... Plus how many old people do you know signing up for Consumer Cellular that say “800mhz?! I need at least 1ghz! But I prefer a dual core overall.” or “3 million pixels?! I need at least 5 million to take my Facebook pics!” Really the only hardware thing that ends up mattering to an elderly person is the screen size, so they actually have luck typing on it. Funny cuz the iphone 4 is a year and a half old yet people still foam at the mouth at the thought of it.

Doakie, Not all seniors are challenged by technology, nor are we all "old people". We like to save as much money as we can because we intend on living a long, long time. Anyway, we do want newer technology. The idea behind Consumer Cellular is to allow people on fixed incomes to survive. It is also for people with vision difficulties. Some younger people have problems seeing the small screens.

Just my 2 cents worth.

The Bravo is decent. My mother-in-law has it and I spent a day or so playing with it. Compared to my iPhone, it's a piece of hud though. You can use the iPhone on Consumer Cellular without much effort. It works on all versions of the iPhone and all versions of iOS. No jailbreaking, or unlocking required. Here's how...
