Confirmed: T-Mobile to offer customers the just announced Nokia Lumia 530
With Nokia introducing the entry level Nokia Lumia 530 this morning, along with a dual SIM variation, T-Mobile has already piped up to announce that it will be offering the device to its customers. The Nokia Lumia 530 is the sequel to the wildly popular Nokia Lumia 521. The Nokia Lumia 530 will have Windows Phone 8.1 pre-installed, which means that it will not only have personal assistant Cortana, it will also feature the Swype-like Word Flow, Action Center and personalized wallpaper for the start screen.

T-Mobile says that the Nokia Lumia 530 will be available later this year. The carrier did not mention a price yet for the phone. The Nokia Luimia 521 is currently being offered at $79.99 for the whole kit and kaboodle.

The Nokia Lumia 530 will come with a 4 inch screen with a resolution of 480 x 854. A quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 CPU is under the hood with the Adreno 302 GPU taking care of the graphics. Unfortunately, 512MB of RAM is on board along with 4GB of native storage. Those needing more memory can turn to the microSD slot, which has a capacity of 128GB. A 1430 mAh battery keeps the lights on.

The Nokia Lumia 530 is also customizable with different color back plates available. Considering how well the Lumia 521 continues to sell, we should see some brisk demand for the sequel when it is released.
