I d like to see N1520 to get and update of:
-RT like OS update with RT Office - compatible with 2 layouts -
1. for 6" screen
2.PC screen output for 1080p + desktop mode.
-get to support of some "smart craddle" that can charge the N1520, HDMI output to TV, have 3 USB ports for external accesories. (similar to Samsung SmartDock)

If so - i am in. All other photo features are great and can be just improved via that next update.

Yep.. And, that supposed patch that PA reported yesterday was false... I'm not surprised, because WPCentral never reported on it, and Mobile Nations is THE most reliable source for everything mobile...

So, by "Windows Phone 8.1 SDK," do they mean "Android SDK"? Honestly, iOS seems to be the only thing that can compete with Android, so Microsoft might as well make the jump to Android so they can give their users more features instead of more reasons to have false hope and make excuses.

Who here loves their Windows Phone device, and is very satisfied with the experience?
..................
This question is for users of WP, who have used the platform for a significant amount of time, only!

WM user who jumped to WP with the HTC Arrive. I love it. Stable for the most part even though I believe WP7 was rock solid stability wise. Last year the only 2 things I wanted were custom notification tones and Subway Surfers. Got both last year. Happy! To me everything else including a Notification viewer are just extras that I welcome. As long as they stick to the original formula of WP I'm all in. I'm hoping for something exciting. I don't think they will play it as Steve Jobs "magical" but will roll up much wanted updates.

I LOVED the arrive, I had the touch, touch 2, arrive, now htc 8x. I feel the Arrive was the last BEST windows phone from HTC oooooh the days of htc dominating in the wm arena. oh and how I wish htc would do a slim wp8 version of the arrive

I took the same route as you but went 920 since Sprint decided they were too good for Windows Phones. :p Sprint Touch, Touch 2, Arrive to Lumia 920. Great phones. I'll always be an HTC fan. If I HAD to get one Android phone it would be the HTC One.

I really hope they don't ditch WP for Android. Not everyone wants Android no matter how hard you try to preach it.

LMFAO!.... I can't believe people actually believe this kind of useless speculation..
Did you see what I called it? That's all that it is, and shame on Phone Arena for praying on the week minded with these false ideas..... That article was THE definition of terrible, unprofessional, irresponsible, biased journalism... SMHID!

more features? You mean all those fun things that people have to disable to get a good phone. All day I am walking through the task manager of droid for people. I am so glad my phone is not that way at this time. It is the reason I left droid as my main device. I got a phone to help me, not worry about it like a pc.

Let's hope we see more of what Windows offers in the new WP. True multitasking, side by side apps, better Office apps.

You know it has the app switcher now that lets close apps right?

Some of that would be nice in WP... Although some things just might not be suitable for a smartphone..
.......................
Nevertheless, the multitasking in WP is fine in its current state, but it would be interesting to see how WP handled full multitasking, like in W8... But, prioritizing I would put these things at the bottom of the list.....
...................
The current list of things that have been revealed to be in WP8.1-0xxxx, more options for greater control over the device, more refinement, and more API's being released to developers, are things that we can count on to be in WP8.1... It's definitely enough to add to the already great functioning WP OS..........
And, it would also be nice if MS let up on the costs to submit apps for developers, and the cost to license WP8.1 for OEM's..... That's crucial!

I as a symbian user was sceptical about wp I have an 808 and a lumia 920 both are special phones but I must admit wp is evolving fantastically and I just can't get enough of it don't get me wrong android and iOS are good but it's wp for me.

I hope the SDK would let devs create a internet browser like firefox or opera (nevermind the data mining Chrome)

Basically, it needs webkit support. As a fan of WP... and Opera, imo this definitely needs to happen.
