Clash of the titans: iOS 7 vs Android 4.3 comparison

0. phoneArena 19 Sep 2013, 15:31 posted on

One of the most heated "debates" within the wireless industry is the one between iOS and Android fans. In case it isn't obvious, we've put "debate" in quotes, because it's much more of a flame war, rather than a civilized debate, but anyway, you get the point. So here we are, not trying to start yet another flame war, but wanting to make it easy for users to find out what the meaningful differences between iOS 7 and Android 4.3 are. And without further ado, let's dive straight into it...

Lets get it straight(for the people saying ios copied android) the man who helped create all the google aps that were on all original iPhones ran back to google with all the ideals and , poof android was released a year later after iPhones, second whenever developers actually start working on apps for androids as much as they do on iphones(hints the every app being released on ios months before android) then I'll consider going back to android, third why is android so choppy, my gf let go of her gs4 active for a iphone 5c and never been happier, all the stuttering transitions between windows, all the apps being outta wack, and the lack of upgrading to later versions of the os on android is a joke, phones less than a year old still don't have jelly bean so yeah, enjoy your androids kids

third why is crrapple so boring, my gf let go of her 5/5c(samething, you got ripped off if you paid for a 5c) for a gs4 and never been happier, all the stuttering transitions between windows, all the apps being super small on that tiny screen, and the lack of anything really new in later versions of the os on crrapple is a joke, phones less than a year old still don't have anything magical but the color of the phone so yeah, enjoy your crrapple kids

ok ctk49..watever!

Can you tell me one thing more useful your GF got with the new phone ?

The fact is - most stuff on S4 that you dont get in an iphone is either useless or has some kind of issue in terms of inefficiency, incompatibility, battery life, maintainability with respect to OS updates etc...

Now, 5 is more than 4, so is 6, 7 and 8. Screen size is subjective matter. Most apps for iphone are made for a 4 inch screen, for the exact same resolution. For S4, most apps are NOT made for a 5 inch screen yet they are selling you a phone that make you think you will have a great experience using apps. They are fooling you, period.

Also, best of luck with OS updates, cos very soon you GF will realize that after Google releases are OS, it not going to be available on her device for months and it could have some important security updates. The update may never come in time before a malicious app steals all her identity!

Also, after the update, her phone will not be the same. Android updates "kill". Users have complained all personal data being deleted, so best of luck with that. Most apps will either run slow or crash. Sometimes I cant believe these guys are getting away with such wholesale loot. Consumers just don't understand what makes a quality product.

In reality, the real difference, the real point to consider before buying a computing device is the "SOFTWARE". Samsung is fooling consumers with pretty big screens, which again just look pretty. iphone screen has better color reproduction, better outdoor visibility, better brightness.

iphone is the best overall smartphone. Apple will not put anything in the device/software until it is truly useful and does not have any issues with user experience.

WOW you sure do know NOTHING about Android!!

She will be getting a Nexus 5 soon, so she will get all the updates!!
See with Android we have choices!! Not like crrapple where they just sell you the old stuff for the same amount of money and isheeeps just buys em up!!

Android apps scales to whatever size screen you have. So you DONT have to make/update an app for every screen size. Crrapple had to have all their apps updated so it would fit on the "new" 4" screens!!

"Apple will not put anything in the device/software until it is truly useful and does not have any issues with user experience."

That is such a isheeep statement!!
What was crrapples map app?? That didnt have any issues?? How

Anyway have fun with ur toy!!
