Cingular to be renamed to AT&T

After FCC approved the BellSouth acquisition from AT&T, the latter announced that the Cingular brand will begin transition to the AT&T in the early 2007, but even before it has happened, AT&T will begin to combine its wireless and wireline networks to announce new services that will take advantage of the strong points of the two types. AT&T will keep the same services, plans and experience, Cingular users have, and will add additional options in the future. Current Cingular stores will change their name to AT&T after the brand transition starts.
