As a dedicated Windows user. The Surface series has been the worst rip off they have ever created.

How so? I didn't buy the RT but I almost took a buy for a surface pro that was on sale for 350, I ended up with a Lenovo 11.6in Lynx for 250 instead however.

I do not think the Surface was a rip off Microsoft still makes Windows on ARMS CPU Windows RT Surface 2 Tablets because folks ARMS CPU"S are the most used type of CPU in the Mobile devices world of smart phones and Tablets. If Microsoft did not make a surface 2 Tablet or Nokia 2520 Tablet Microsoft would effectively be out of the tablet device world Period! unfortunately for Microsoft over 95 percent of it's software is designed to run on standard Desktop, Laptop, Server, Intel/AMD X86 devices. Microsoft has almost start from scratch to make APPS for Surface RT, and Surface 2 and Nokia 2420 Tablets. they need the Apps developers to help them get more apps for the Surface RT, Surface 2 and Ni

Dear Loren -- Get a dog and take your dog for a walk or two every day. It will help your health far more than some half-baked device from Microsoft.

You mean like a half baked device from ios or droid oem? After all what is the point of a 'tablet' if it cannot run like a pc. All you have is an expensive phone that doesn't have a dialer...

"After all what is the point of a 'tablet' if it cannot run like a pc?"

Everything that 95% of people always wanted: a simple easy to use device without all the bullsht.

As sprockkets pointed out, because Loren picked a Microsoft device and is using it illegally for business purposes, she put her entire business at risk. Microsoft can sue her at any time and destroy years of her hard work. Don't think this is "something that will never happen". Microsoft has sued thousands of businesses for licensing issues. So, yes, if Loren had picked some other company, she would have been better off than a deceptively marketed Microsoft Surface 2.

And at the end of the day, getting a dog would be far better for Loren than any tablet. Unlike Microsoft, a dog is really a friend.

Tablets cost less than phones with the same specs. That just blew up your entire argument.

those videos are too idealistic...it should be like, dont you dare to touch my tablet with your oily cookies-baking hands...and...can we have a proper place to seat when doing power point, cause leaning forward with such a low table is hurting my backs, and the angle of the screen wasn't really suitable for finger touching here and there?....

"The Surface 2 has great battery life, has a nice HD display, is a fast performer, and it comes with Office 2013 RT. That last point is useful in that it spares the expense of having to buy a separate software license, something that all new, small businesses can benefit from."

Uh, no. That copy is FORBIDDEN for BUSINESS USE.

"As sold, Office 2013 RT is not designed for commercial, nonprofit, or revenue-generating activities. However, organizations who purchase commercial use rights or have a commercial license to Office 2013 suites that include Outlook can use Office 2013 RT for commercial, nonprofit, or revenue-generating activities."

Great find. I didn't know Microsoft had crippled the Office licenses they include with their tablets. Microsoft defines evil.
