Chip Sales Grow On Wireless, But National Expects Sales Slump

Semiconductor sales grew about 6 percent during the most recent quarter, garnering combined revenues of $11.4 billion, according to the Semiconductor Industry Association. During the first quarter, that figure was $10.7 billion. The quarter-to-quarter growth was helped by strength in the mobile industry, SIA concludes.
