Following the example of Taiwan's HTC, China's ZTE and Huawei are hoping to expand their footprint in the U.S. from carrier-branded devices to more powerfully branded smartphones on the top 4 U.S. carriers...

the point of this is to get costumers off budget and feature phones and into smart phones, stop being so negative.

Mmmm unless they're going to be bringing over cheap replicas of Japanese phones then I really don't see them doing well with anyone.
