Charge your smartphone wirelessly by just leaving it next to this laptop

Charge your smartphone wirelessly by just leaving it next to this laptop
It's not only wacky Windows 8 hybrid devices at Computex this year - other interesting tech manages to grab its 15 minutes of fame every now and then. One of these is this laptop with Intel's built-in wireless charging standard.

The setup demonstrated was the laptop with a smartphone put next to it, which began charging without any cables. Pretty cool, as you don't have to carry the USB cable with you as well while lugging around your laptop.

With smartphones what they are now, however, it is more probable that you will be carrying the handset rather than the laptop, but it's nice to just have both nearby when surfing from the couch, and know that your phone is charging in the meantime. For more information about the technology behind wireless charging you can read our dedicated article here.

Now that's what i call innovation as just increasing the no. of cores doesn't count as innovation.
