The girl who wrote that tweet was from my hometown, San Antonio. Sad to see taht something like this had to go down, the shooter should be brought to justice at the fullest extent. I sincerely hope that an even like this doesn't become some sick trend through the world now.

On one hand I agree with you, but on the second hand, when people are really shocked, scared, feel panic, do they start filming???

I don't think that you guys should have the Twitter thing of one of the victims until their names are publicly released by the police/investigators.

Grow up. Making jokes about a travesty only makes you look like a douche.

Using humor can be a way for some people to cope with a tragic or horrific event.

You need to grow up and learn the difference between "travesty" and "tragedy". This even is not a travesty (a false, absurd, or distorted representation of something) but is a tragedy (an event causing great suffering, destruction, and distress, such as a serious accident, crime, or natural catastrophe).

It is both a tragedy in the traditional sense and a travesty against so many innocent bystanders who lives have been ended unexpectedly.

Everyone should go to a movie this weekend. I think that's the best way to honor the victims and their friends and family; by doing what those people loved to do.

It's a shame the cops didn't kill the subhuman bastard slowly and painfully. It's a shame we can't sentence him to death by colon cancer.

People, please don't make jokes about this. This is truly a tragic event. Have some maturity or just don't say anything at all. This can happen anywhere at any time to anyone. Let this be a reminder of how unbearably cruel and twisted the world can be.

The question, which I think is on everyone's minds, is "why?" why commit such a horrific act?

Asking "why" would be assuming that there is some sort of reasoning or logic behind this. These kinds of acts are usually more about the mental state of mind of the individual involved than his/her reasoning behind it.

No explanation, no easy answer.

I think he was inspired by the joker in the movie, The Dark Knight. I was watching this movie last night on my computer and I heard this dialogue in this movie,

"Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just wanna watch the world burn."
