Canadian brokerage house slashes estimate of BlackBerry PlayBook sales for 2011 and 2012

Retailers are not ringing up many sales of the BlackBerry PlayBook according to a pair of Canaccord Genuity analysts who lowered their estimate of 2.2 million units sold in 2011 to 1.5 million; the analysts see the Apple iPad 2 continuing its domination of tablet sales...

I wonder why people aren't buying more of the PlayBook? It was supposed to be the salvation of RIM when introduced. It was going to be validation of the theory that produce it and the 'Berry fans will buy it.

Unless of course there aren't many 'Berry fans remaining.

Sorry, the main client for that thing is business, and its useless to business at the moment.. lol

Who needs email functionality when there are supposedly legions of 'Berry fans just waiting for the chance to buy the latest and greatest from RIM?

Besides, email is so 2005-ish. :-) Hasn't everyone moved on to SMS and MMS? But wait, the PlayBook doesn't support SMS or MMS? Getting confused, now are we?
