For once you are correct. No, I am not ahving a field day with this as I know what Verizon is doing...they are pushing LTE devices....been a known fact for many months.

On a side note, the DROID RAZR is a far better than the iphone 4S.

I'm not making the argument that the iPhone is a bad phone though. (well, phone wise it leaves something to be desired, but you know what I mean)

I will make the argument that if one wants a fully featured smartphone they can truly customize to their needs, Android is the better and more cost effective choice, especially while the iPhone is 3G only.

I agree that some people on here go overboard with their condemnation of the iPhone and it's owners, but there's a grain of truth. A lot of first time iPhone buyers go for it because it's the easiest choice. They hear about the iPhone all the time, they see the Apple ads, and they hear that it's easy to use. Therefore, anything different they see is going to be perceived as outside of their comfort zone.

And often, for someone who's already gotten the iPhone, it comes down to that comfort zone and economics. I had one gentleman who went with a 4S despite acknowledging how awesome the Android phones were because he had already bought a ton of iPhone accessories and didn't want to see that investment wasted. Same goes for several customers who had bought a lot of apps.

The point is that there's a lot more to the story than "the iPhone is the best, hurr durr." It's a good smartphone, but it's not the only good smartphone. Who knows? The mob mentality may eventually lead to Android's downfall. The iPhone may eventually get the monopoly Apple wants. However, it won't mean that Android isn't worthwhile, and that's the truth of the matter.

Oh look it's the guy who thinks he's superior because he knows a little more about phones than others, but has an entry level job. Probably the people he makes fun of are way more intelligent and successfull.

Bashing others comes from your own insecurity.

Phone sales are not entry level jobs. Take a look at the job requirements for any phone sales position. They're pretty Damn selective. Especially at the direct carrier locations.

On the other hand, tech support and customer service take just about anyone.

Wait, Taco, isn't that your job?

Mob mentality? Android has more market share so the mob mentality would be on android's side.

Unless you want a stable phone that works well

Not necessarily. Android has built that market share up over time, and customers most often won't buy an Android phone just because "everyone else has it."

If individuals keep making their own choices until a majority has built up, that's not a mob mentality.

Buying something because it's perceived to be popular is mob mentality.

And you know this from personal experience?

No, Taco, a sales rep position is not easy to get. Even though we're short handed here at my store, my manager has continually turned down applicants because they've been unsatisfactory to him.

Sniggly, there's no breaking this Taco. He's like a little kid that you have to explain to him why he's allowed no candy before dinner.

The Razr/Razr Maxx is a stable phone that works well.

Not so egalitarian after all, eh Taco?

The Droid Razr Maxx is an awesome phone. Very stable. It'll even be better once it gets ICS.

I can't believe what my eyes are seeing, Taco didn't call Networkdood a sales rep troll? Must be a record.

Don't you have to get back to work and try to talk someone out of an iPhone?

Then "used to" is proper, because you obviously did a s**t job.

No, because it's spread out over different phones from different manufacturers with different UI skins. Our devices aren't all the same.

You can't even get hired on with a corporate store. What does that say about you.

People keep buying cigarettes as well, does that mean they're good also. What about soda or fast food, they taste good but can cause obesity & diabetes, are they good products also? There are many things in this world that people keep buying that aren't necessarily good or good for you, but that doesn't make them good.

umm, yeah, that stable phone is called a Motorola Droid RAZR with ICS 4.0.4.

Wow, Taco, you are so blinded by your hatred of non-Apple phones, that you have grown ignorant.

Well, let's see: when I applied I was from out of state, with no college degree, and relatively little phone sales experience. That was nine months ago.

Now I can't get hired because I'm working for an indirect store that sells Verizon products, which means I am subject to a non compete agreement for a period of six months if I leave Best Buy, meaning Verizon can't touch me during that period.

Also the Verizon indirect store I had worked with previously terminated me after I called in sick. Not surprising, because the manager threatened to fire me at least once before when I hesitated to come in on my day off.

Yeah, I mean, I am not a sales rep, so calling me that would look stupid on his part. I actually run an online business of my own, and I am the IT go-to-guy for a few small businesses in my area.

No, he/she/it actually does not. It repeats stuff like parrot, with no thought into what it is has written.

You don't know what I do for a living. I do deal in wireless communications. Definitely not an entry level job. Nothing compares to your job at selling tacos for a living.

I know, that's all he keeps saying to me. That I'm somehow making myself look superior to him. If there's anyone that's insecure it's him/she/it with a name taco. None of my posts made such a remark. I guess that's what happens to people who grow up in a taco stand. It's pretty sad.

Don't you have some tacos to make. I'm sure there's a long line going while you're make a failed attempt to put others down.
