Alright I am going to bite on this post and had to create a user account for this. I am a vzw inderect rep. With me commission is not what I look at. Alot of people think iphone is the way to go.

Did you know if you have an issue with your iphone you have to go to an apple store if its over 6 months because after 6 months apple charges you for over the phone tech support. Any other phone gets over the phone and in store for a year at no extra charge. For my customers the closest apple store is 2 hours away.

The cost of the device. The iphone is set in price and to be even worthwhile you need to drop $200 to get the top of the line camera with a restricted 16 gigs of data. Where as the Razr is 16 gigs with the option for a SD card and it only costs you $100 out of pocket.

The cost of the apps. Apple charges for alot more apps then android does. Android also has the option of using amazon app market and getting a free app a day.

4g LTE is 10x faster internet with better in building penetration which the razr has and the iphone does not.

You have control with a droid device and you can make it look the way you want. With the iphone its either folders or single apps on the page. And the iphone has bloatware also. Newstand is something you can't get rid of and is always on a page

There is one iphone you have to fit it. There are multiple droids you can find one that fits you.

Oh forgot to mention I have over 25 gigs of iphone apps music and movies and still will not go to an iphone. Will go to the razr when I switch from my droid x

Agree with above post, I'm also verizon indirect agent and the account rep has been here every week, basically saying stop selling so many iphones and push 4G. There is pressure on them to get better 4G numbers and it comes down on the sales reps.

So let me get this straight the guy who is questioning this and is no telephone expert wants the verizon reps to lie to there customer. The reason 9 out of 10 verizon reps prefer any android 4g is because they are better phones and the 4g is a big deal for a phone user who uses the internet. the reason the Att guy says the iphone is prob because Att 4g is horrible and not as widely available. I wonder if the Att guy that was asked even lived in a 4g area or ever used a 4g. Dont worry mr reporter if you ever come into my phone i will lie to you and sell you the out dated phone just because it is more a status quo phone and advertised better. I wont tell you the diference between the phones and let you make up your mind. I wont tell you the razr maxx is better battery faster processor fast internet bigger screen. upgradable memory i wont tell you any of that i will just say. "Well you are a reporter so you know more about me when it comes to phone and since the comercials for iphones have samuel jackson it must be a cool phone or he wouldnt take a million dollar to do a comercial for it. If you truly want to know if verizon reps are being told to sell android or if they honestly believe the android is better how about instead of being stupid just look at what is in the reps hand. I work for verizon and we have 16 reps 14 of them have droid razrs 2 have an iphone. Makes you say hmmm doesnt it.

The Verizon reps in Santa Rosa, California pretty much steer everyone away from the iPhone.

Those reps are keeping their subs' best interest in mind, not the lte service. If someone is jumping into a 2yr contract, you don't want them to go into it with outdated hardware from the beginning. @ years from now that thing will really suck compared to other tech that's out now. The Razr Maxx is a sick phone. I have AT&T, but if I had Verizon, I'd definitely go with that.
