RIM is aiming for the business customer with its new deal on the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet; purchase two PlayBooks through a value-added reseller and you will get a third one for free and wait, there's more as RIM is throwing in some free accessories...

Wow RIM your just trying everything to get rid of those Playbooks aren't you? Just give up on the Tablet business and focus on making cell phones that actually look different that the one's you have already made.

Why would a business customer want a sub-par tablet?

This is what I don't understand about Blackberry... They're still trying to cling to this image of being a business based phone brand. Problem is, it's not worth much any more. Yes, there was a time when they were the primary business based handset. But that means little these days. Many other smartphone manufacturers offer just as robust, if not MORE robust, business features. Windows Phone boasts a full Office suite for crying out loud, and Apple now does iPhone to iPhone messaging through their own servers ala BBM.

They're being seriously outplayed here, and they clearly can't see why. That, or they do and they're too stubborn to give up their business based image... An image which no longer does them any favors. Their attempts to be "hip" have been pathetic at best... RIM over all needs a completely new image.
