0. phoneArena 27 Sep 2011, 13:38 posted on

Piper Jaffray says that Apple's "Let's Talk" invitation to next week's event could be hinting at voice recognition technology to be built into Apple's iOS 5; at the same time, the brokerage firm says that it does not believe that Apple will introduce a low priced, entry level Apple iPhone 4S...

gestures? like what? pinch to zoom? sorry, apple didn't invent that, Jeff Han invented that and he probably got the idea from Minority Report.

For Apple to even apply for a patent for that tells you how devious they are!

So is a home button innovation? I only ask because Apple has a law suit over that.

I like the last sentence

"And he feels that his estimate that overall, 25 million Apple iPhone units will be sold in that quarter, will prove to be too conservative."

Look at Munster's estimates in the past, he's always over estimated by 2-3x, he's pumping a company that his firm has thousands if not millions of shares in. What else did you expect from this idiot analyst's mouth?

Android does have it. iPhone will have it. What's your point? If you're not using an iPhone GTFO and stop trolling. Thanks!

to all apple haters- apple is the only one allowed to add new features like voice recognition, when apple does it, it's innovative and they'll act like they invented it. Their fanboys say that apple is innovative, when they take features that were in android before.
enjoy your android 1.6- i mean iOASS 5

How do they consistently offer mediocre tech at the highest bid, thats so old, and most of you are right, they will say this is market breaking\innovative. They need to open up their UI and stop wasting time, No iphone 5 either, the 3S proved they could market the same product and bank on it.

The 3GS is still the 2nd beat selling phone behind the iPhone 4 in the US.

Yup this is true and with what innovation on the device? What form factor change? Any UI improvements? nope, nope, and nope. Apple makes a highly profitable device but couldnt match the specs of most devices that are presented during the same periods.

So the question is why do people prefer a two year old phone to the new androids coming out?

because of the economy. 3GS is cheap right now and new droids are expensive. period.

Please don't play the cheap card when there's a load of free crapdroids with 2 year contract and BOGO'S on high end androids.

LOL indeed, a great question, i think mainly in part that most people have no clue whats really out there, and how tech plays a part in a great experience.

The thing is a lot of people do know what android offers and still prefer an iPhone. That's what a lot of android fans can't admit to themselves

Nuance's voice recognition is supposedly the best. This also doesn't use the internet connection, it uses the phone's actual hardware, not a server, so there shouldn't be as long of a delay (if any). So what's new about this? Just that it should be BETTER than the current competition.
