Blackberry Pearl finally official

Finally, the RIM's Blackberry 8100 Pearl is made official and is now preparing for a launch with T-Mobile USA. There is no surprise in the specs sheet and everything is as expected - it is a quad-band GSM/EDGE phone with a 65k color 240x260 pixel display, 1.3 megapixel camera with flash, microSD, multimedia playback capabilities and Bluetooth 2.0 support. The slim smartphone features a SureType keypad, a trackball for navigation and measures 4.2 x 2.0 x 0.57 inches (107 x 50 x 14.5mm) with a weight of just 3.1 oz (88g).

T-Mobile USA customers will be the first to get their hands on the device with a launch date set for September 12 while price is expected to be $199 with a two-year contract.
