People need to get it straight, and this proves it. iPhone is not really a good smartphone, but i think of it as stylish phone(even though i never really liked the style) with smartphone capabilities, thus alternative to smartphone. But i'm more surprised that HTC or Samsung didn't get chosen.

RIM has been doing case studies with the UK police for a few years now on using berries to save time (they don't have to travel back to the office to file paperwork, access databases, etc.). So this really is no surprise.
