All day long we have been updating you with the latest information pertaining to BlackBerry's rollout of BBM for Android and iOS; and well, it really has not been a great week for the Canadian OEM. A write down of nearly $1 billion of BlackBerry Z10 handsets, layoffs of 40% of the payroll, and an exit from the consumer side of the business has had BlackBerry users and fans feel a bit uncertain as to the future of the brand...

Yap they messed up again, their most popular feature of their smartphone, leads them to disgrace. They should 100% ready before or even announcing they will release BBM for other platforms. They should also expect that many will try to use BBM especially to those who don't own a BlackBerry phones before, including me. 1.1 million users for 8 hours is really incredible but I doubt it might be old BlackBerry phone users who downloaded it. I installed also android version but it keep on asking for wifi connection which I don't have so I just uninstalled it. I hope next time, they are 100% ready and capable of handling millions of users in both platforms. Lets hope for the best for BlackBerry in this time of crisis they are facing right now.

Because of the delays, people are going to treat BBM just like they treated BB10 devices...they are not going to care. I already don't.

No I won't. I have unlimited text. Why would I spam my friends and family to get on BBM? There's hundreds of ways to communicate these days. Delays only hurt BBM. Technology moves fast enough as it is.

What a damn shame. Blackberry had a winner on their hands, but bad pricing, mediocre hardware, and delays on top of delays have doomed them.

As for the Z30? Nein. A 5" Z10 isn't what they needed, they needed a BB10 HTC One/S4 hybrid. Flashy, premium build and a killer screen combined with the removable battery, microSD (The Z10 had both), and great internals, a la the S4, running BB10.2. They might have had a chance, at that point. Instead, they wasted time on low-end devices like the Q5 and the "old school" Q10, only to follow it with a stretched out Z10. Idiots.

In my country when the Z10 was released I was wondring what the hell were they thingking when they priced the phone that way. It was damn expensive given what the competition has to offer at a lower price. It was priced as much as a iPhone5 32gig version. Android flagships at that time are all priced more competitively. No wonder theyre failing. . .

They just shot themselves in the foot its bad enough it got delayed till almost no end as far as im concerned they working on the basis of any advertising is good advertising, cos people who wouldnt care about BB is speaking about it, its also an highly convenient time for their C series phone to leak like that so it isnt about some app thats causing problems and need to be disabled its more getting people to talk about BB and BBM again and due to their reaction they got yesterday they are well aware that theres a market for the app
