BlackBerry's new Enterprise Services chief, John Sims, must have had two bowls of Wheaties on Tuesday morning. On BlackBerry's Business Blog, Sims passed along a story about a University in Israel that found a security breach on a KNOX enabled Samsung Galaxy S4 that allows a hacker to intercept data from the device. According to Sims, Samsung said that the fault turned out to be with Android...

Don't hate. Clearly, BlackBerry is focusing on what made it strong to begin with. They are in the lead when it comes to enterprise MDM, and I don't think that will change. People can say what they will, but there is no smartphone and/or tablet more secure than a BlackBerry.

I'm really just mad that they ditched he Awesome BB Playbook. No harm intended. ;) I bought a $300 paperweight!! If the Web was fast and stable on it I wouldn't have a problem but they ditched it and didn't fix some minor things like a fast fluid web browser.

Have you ever used a BB10 device? I mean really used it. If you have, you would know that BB10 is an amazing OS. Smooth and fluid. And it's only going to get better. If you have REALLY used one and its not your cup of tea, then so be it. But if you haven't, you're really not in a position to say whether their devices are "decent" or not.

Ok Ok fair comment....I haven't used it but all i am saying is the hardware could be much better!!

Fair enough. But not everyone is into the latest and greatest hardware. Especially when the OS gels so well with the hardware it's paired with. However, I also think that BlackBerry should beef up the hardware, if only to see how much smoother and faster the BB10 OS would run on it. Hopefully, John Chen has something like that in mind for the next highend BlackBerry 10 device. Also, you really should give BB10 a try. It may just surprise you.

I like BB10, but I prefer iOS over it since iOS is more developed, polished, runs smoother (iPhone 5S vs Z30) and the support it gets from Apple is phenomenal. If BB keeps the pace its going now, BB10 will without a doubt be a really great OS.

I like iOS also, even though I prefer BB10 over iOS. I own an iPad mini with retina display and I have to say it's the best tablet I've used so far. iOS is a great OS. It's actually my second favorite OS(after BB10, of course). And I totally agree with you on this: if BlackBerry continues at this pace, BB10 will be great indeed(even though it is already great, IMHO).

I currently love the OS and have a BB as a back up, but the APP ecosystem is very, very barebones compared to IOS or Android. I use a tablet for work/play and I don't want to pay for a second set of apps for my tablet different then my phone. So after several trials, I go where with a phone that goes with my Tablet.

we all have different taste, i like Android the most (and yes i have used iOS, BB10, BB Playbook OS, BB OS, Symbian, Winmo, WP, WebOS device).
i admit the best security so far is BB device (and i think old BB OS and BB playbook are more secure than BB10), but security is not my first priority , each OS has their own advantage and disadvantage, even Symbian has a some advantage over Android, iOS, & others (it's why one of my friend is still sticking with old symbian), and i prefer the advantange of Android. Why dont we Just let's the OS creator war each other and we enjoy the result. and Last, Sorry for my English :)

Knox sucks! when you tripped the Knox counter, samsung will refuse to acknowledge warranty! i hope they'll remove it!
22. sumwhatrediculous (Posts: 19; Member since: 22 Jan 2014)
that means you did something to your phone that voids your warranty its not knox fault that was your choice and all threds (rooting and then some) say this voids your warranty

We should agree on one thing: BlackBerry makes the best and most secure busssines phones.

I have a Note 3 from AT&T and im not impressed at all with knox, it constantly tells me that it "forced closed an app" for some reason and constantly monitors my phone using up to or more than 220mb ram, heats up my phone when I watch a movie from my device, (lord help me if im streaming video) or play a low intensive game like mahjong. I get 5 maayybbee 10 minutes with RR3 before it gets so hot that my phone becomes sluggish and non responsive, and battery goes kaput in about 3 hours from full charge if im browsing, Its pathetic really, so bad that I contacted Samsung support and they just told me to force close it, and I do but it re-opens when I toggle wifi or carrier networks. Honestly I dont care for Knox one bit and it should be an optional download for byod type scenario or really secret people, its not for everybody. And the bad thing is, I have no way to get rid of it cause its locked in by AT&T bloat crap. So yeah, I agree with BB knox basically sucks.

Ok if blackberry is so bad assed make your own android with full bes and you will save your company if you want you can still even make them with keyboards just remember some of us don't do keyboards anymore (left blackberry for android) I do miss the security but beyond that its no fun anymore and android can run all that blackberry can run the bes from a secure part of the hard disk that nothing elese has access to like firmware or a dedicated chip that does not share info
