The BlackBerry Tour 9630 appears in the Verizon system

We just received an image from а tipster that clearly shows the BlackBerry Tour 9630 is now being loaded into the inventory system of a Verizon store, although the units themselves don´t seem to be in stock just yet. Sadly, we do not have new information on the release date, but according to the previous news, this one should hit the market sometime in July. We will keep you posted on any updates we might have on the BlackBerry Tour.

This is one of maybe 2 phones that VZW has coming out this year that are interesting (well, that have been announced at least). The only other being the XV6175, the rest of the phones are sequels (and we all know the perception on sequels), or bland phones. I get so many complaints about how there's no innovation in our phones by customers everyday. You would think VZW would encourage manufacturers to be a little more innovative, and make new phones, instead of new versions of half-way popular devices. VZW could've worked to get something like the Xenon, which isn't the greatest phone in the world, but it's at least a little different than the Voyager 2... Excuse me, EnV Touch... I'm so disappointed in Big Red

how come verizon gets all the hot bb? i mean i know they are number one in the world in bb sales but the number 2 company (sprint) who only has curve 8330 and pearl 8130 aren't getting sh*t ... sprint doesnt have storm, bold, new curve, pearl flip ... n they are still number 2 in the world. ... com on bb!

That's because Sprint isn't even close to being Number 2 in anything you mentioned above. They might be 3 in blackberry sales in the US, but in the world Sprint is like 9 or 10 I believe in total BB sales. Verizon is #1 in BB sales in the US and World. ATT is #2 in BB sales in the US and I think 4 in the World. So yes... this is why companies like ATT and Verizon get it before Sprint. Plus Sprint is focused on there Pre, They don't care about anything else right now.

actually sprint used to be number 4 and the top 4 in the us are also the top 4 in the world ... other parts of the world dont use blackberries they use nokias ... and sprint is number 2 check your facts sinfulta

Is VZW #1 in Blackberry sales? I wouldn't have guessed that... I guess it does make sense though, all the government contracts and business users that get Blackberries with us. If that is the case, then once we get the Tour, sales will certainly take off, because the only BB that we have right now that isn't 2 years old, is the Storm, and we all know about the performance of that one... I'm happy we're not rushing the Tour out like we did the Storm, because that would be disastrous, although I am anxious for it.

It looks to me that this is NOT verizon. If you look you can see a Bell Gift Card listed on the screen.

you are right. at least not any system I use. I am in Tech and we use same system as CSR. That is not how our system looks. But it is in VZW's system.

if any of you worked at verizon and read further, the bell gift card refers to the holiday gift card we sell that has bells on it.
