phone is amazing, simply breath taking in resolution and the responsiveness is a bit off but it is totally more accurate right now than the Apple phone has ever been. This is a spectacular typing machine once I got use to it, I am typing now off it and I have zero complaints now, the full keyboard is well spaced out and open to big finger guys, and having the availabilty of jumping from suretype , word T9 and full keyboard is awesome. Video playback blows away anything I have ever seen, and the sound quality is loud and crisp. Music is simple to transfer from my computer to the device and it takes all the album art as well. I cant say the software is that much a problem, I close all the apps when I am done and I have already learned how to avoid having problems with the accelorometer as well. No lock ups, no lag on the net, no false responses.awesome . This device with the new software is not only a contender to the Apple touch phone, but it may be the one that dethrones it as well, since the network superiority seems to be the biggest selling point for me and other ex-Sprint subscribers.

I stood in line outside BJ's for 30 minutes, got inside first, held the Storm box in my hands first, and the sales rep culdn't even log onto the Verizon [in house] network to sell me the phone. I waited an hour, and she was unable to progress on the screen at all. I left without the phone. She promised to have it sent overnite to my house. She called me Saturday to say that it wouldn't arrive for another 2 weeks or so. I cancelled the order. In the meanwhile it occurs to me that Verizon should have known how badly their network would be overwhelmed. They should have learned that lesson from AT&T from when the iPhone first cam out. After all, Verizon has been heavily promoted for over a month now. Verizon customer service claims that they were surprised by the "overwhelming response". Duh!

haha lol, that sucks. why would you go to bj's anyway? they have faulty comps prolly. go to a vzw store duhhhh

it wasnt just BJ's it was the whole VZW intranet. not to be confused with the wireless service wich is working fine, just a little slower now with all that traffic. Its our internal systems that went down. happens whenever theres alot of load on them.... someone needs to add a few dozen more servers methinks....

Well if everyone remembers correctly, if we are comparing networks here... WHEN ATT finally figured out how to get their customer's iPhones activated on their network well they & their network CRASHED. Seems like VZW is still up and running with no network issues. FYI a computer @ a store running slow has nothing to do with a wireless network for making calls etc... While certain devices may be "pretty" to use & play with again what are you putting the device on? Oh wait thats right, a Wireless Network to make and recieve phone calls & data. Maybe Apple should have not been so controlling with their offer to VZW (they went their before they went to ATT with the iPhone) then they wouldn't have the network/device issues they do? You may have any type of device but again ultimately think about what you are paying for monthly... SERVICE TO A WIRELESS NETWORK, NOT SERVICE TO USE A DEVICE. DUH!

sickest phone ever. i changed my icons to mimick the apple phone, changed my wallpaper to a video, and changed all my caller id to video ring tones as well. sickest thing i ever seen. bravo blackberry. excellent. and yes i deleted my vznav off the phone and it made everything run so much smoother. kudos to the kid from howardforums who suggested it, it makes the os run smoothly.

You guys are a bunch of complainers when the iphone was dial people by accidents your idiots complain. they fix that problem with other phones and now you complain about pushing on the phone too hard. When will the bitchin and moaning stop. Its a F**king phone for heaven sakes. You want something runs like a computer wait ten years but by then you will find something else to bitch about. Its like you all are never happy with what you have.

I saw the demo of the Blackberry Storm at the Verizon Store on Thursday night. The interface has a noticeable lag. The phone is thicker than the iPhone. The iPhone is "prettier' too. But then I realized why am I comparing it to the iPhone? I never did that with any cellphone. Also, the iPhone is on AT&T and the Storm is on VZW. That is extremely stupid of me. So after I woke up from my stupid comma, I realized the Blackberry Storm is the best phone on VZWs lineup. Also, I want to remain on VZW service since I have absolutely no problems. So I ordered the Storm. I should be receiving it on the 26th and hope that the new firmwares/software is out soon.

There are just as many bad reviews of this as good, leading me to believe some are getting drunk off Kool Ade or it's some haters out. I tend to go with the former
