If your Blackberry Storm was indeed a "lemon" then this phone would be considered DOA and you would have been swapped out for a brand new device within you 30 day worry free guarantee. Seeing as how hundreds of thousands of Blackberry Storm owners are happy with their devices (including 4 sales reps in my store), neither Blackberry or VZW have deemed this product necessary for a recall. So if the product isnt recalled, then neither Blackberry nor VZW owe anyone an upgraded at no cost. All of this is moot because there is no way this phone is coming out next month. I know this for a fact...trust me... I understand that its frustrating to have a high end phone that doesnt live up to its expectations, hopefully VZW will approve a software update to fix those glitches that many people have with their Storm's.

You are one to talk "my self" It's myself, so quit correcting people. Do you know that you have to capitalize every first letter of a new sentence? Time to go to summer school.

That phone is a little on the slow side, but other than that it works. I'd say 80% of the users (Because the phone is a trend right now) don't know how to use the phone. It's almost always user error, not knowing how to close applications because people hit the end key thinking that's how they close stuff on a BB. Or they don't take a second and go into the screen and keyboard menu, to turn up the Hover speed and scrolling etc. They leave it on the default. I'm consistently showing my friends how to use this damn phone and how it works... and once I show them they are like "Oh wow" that makes sense or "Why didn't they tell me that at a store". My response is usually like: "Maybe you shouldn't buy something you don't know how to work". Guess that's where that saying comes from when you buy the first of anything and it's new for the market or new from a vendor: " Your the guinea pig". Too bad so sad. Thus why I don't own one. To be honest with you, I'm actually shocked my HTC Diamond works so flawlessly, especially since it's windows. I almost passed out when I made it a week and didn't have to do anything. It just worked!

I swear for everything. Verizon better offer some type of trade up program, like AT&T did when they went from the Iphone to the Iphone 3G. Cause they are going to have alot of unhappy Storm customers. If they don't offer a trade up program, I fully plan on getting rid of Verizon and going to a different company. In my opinion the first generation Storm is BS, they should have worked on getting the software for that correct. Now I seewhat customers are still sitting on .75, because they are focused on making a second generation. I don't need to call customer service and play games. Mine is simple, trade out or I am out, I have no time to debate and I am giving you money, along with all the other customer who bought the Buggy Storm. That's just mean and greedy as a company, the phone just came out I mean dang. So you're telling customers they have to spend $500 plus dollars to get a new one, because most are not eligable for an upgrade. BS....!

Why is it that many customer's first and only option is to cancel their service? I can't wait for the Storm 2 to come out either but if phones need to be replaced, I'm sure they will be. Why the uproar now?

Because when customers, and I am not only speaking for myself. I am speaking for all customers, they should be paying for quality equipment, not faulty equipment. This phone has been out for what? 8 months now and instead of them fixing it and patching it with better software. Verizon pretty much said scratch that, lets just put out a new phone, while the 1 million plus customers that have the BB Storm suffer with freezing, power downs, etc. There should be an uproar with customers, they should be upset, and they should go where the equipment isn't BS. I love VZW don't get me wrong, but I can't be on their Ban Wagon 24/7, this is a time where they are rushing things again rather having their manufactures take theire time to develop new technology and software that can actually compete with other carriers. I think if they took a little more time on the stor it would have been a great device.

I havent heard anything official in the store about a launch date or anything. Storm sales are still very strong, I probably sell a good 50-60 of them a month. If it is true about customer service and technical service receiving training on the Storm2, it is likely also going to cover some sort of trade-in program. RIM already has a pda tradein programhttp://blackberry.flipswap.com
/consumer/ Everyone talks about the iphone being such a great phone. I've played with it. Its cool. It wasn't the best or even the easiest phone in the world to use. Its a phone. The storm is a phone. It really comes down to being able to use it. I've had people port from Verizon to AT&T for the iphone, then port back because they didn't have service to use it. Now with Blackberry's AppWorld, it is a little closer to the iphone for applications, but still has the usability and blackberry functionality that people want. The storm2 is going to be a great phone from what I can tell. I can't wait to hold one and play with it!
