has anyone noticed that all of the upcoming verizon phones have a 3G icon?? before it would say EVDO now it says 3G just like at&t and t-mobile phones. like for example the htc imagio from verizon has a 3G icon instead of evdo , now it looks like the storm 2 is also gunna have a 3G icon. i have the first storm and mine always says evdo the only time it changed was when i went to mexico instead of verizon in the screen it said telcel and instead of evdo i got EDGE.... anyways thats the first time i have seen that verizon does this...

Verizon started doing this with the Nokia Twist. That is the first phone to have the symbol 3G. Apparently there was confusion with non tech consumers asking what it meant and if Verizon had "3G", so now they are just making it more clear for non tech consumers. Almost all future devices will now read with 3G that have 3G signal in them.
