they didnt say ppl leave vzw to get the bold they said who ever didnt get the storm got the bold....my friend was out of his contract with t-mobile and he had the choice of the bold or the storm and he took the bold. He didnt leave vzw, so when they say who ever didnt get the storm got the bold they were just talking blackberry users in general not companies.

I would think that the Storm would still sell more, because it is a true and genuine swipe at Apple and their phone. It was designed to lure in that market and that market just proved to be bigger than even the mighty RIM themselves. They felt they needed to take down Apple a notch or 2, and from our general sales numbers to date, we have done pretty well in that department. Was it ready to launch when it came out? No. Will every customer see this as better than an I Phone? No. Will this be Verizon Wireless's best selling device of all time? Absolutely. And the reason is, this is the best smart phone on the network. People have been sticking with the network for well over 2 years now even though the I Phone has been there calling them...they didnt leave, and we have a churn ratio that proves that. They wanted Verizon to put out something like an I Phone and we finally did. We never advertised the Voyager, DARE or Glyde as an I Phone killer....nor did we with the 6900 or the KRAVE or the Venus if you wanna throw another touch phone out there. But this Storm is where Verizon is banking on hurting Apple, and I can honestly say that I have seen a TON of more I Phone users come in and listen about this device....quite a few have made the jump ( and I set their expectations correctly at the counter in terms of software issues and the SureClick )and some dont....they just come back a few weeks later looking again and maybe asking a few more questions. But the seed is planted and Verizon is now on Apple's radar. They know we have something to compete...more than anyone else before us, the Storm is bringing some serious competiton to touch screen smart phones. And Verizon now DOES have great handset selection Voyager, GLyde ( new software is KILLER and it works great ), Dare, Omnia, HTC Touch Pro, Krave, Envy 2 , Chocolate 3, New and Improved Boulder, Adventure, Alias, Venus, Curve , Pearl, Centro, Juke, 755, 8350....and the list is growing all the time..

While I DO agree about your comments about the Storm being a true iphone competitor, you might want to hold back on stating that the Storm WILL be VZW's best-selling phone EVER. It seems just a little bit precocious; but other than that, well stated my friend.

And for what it's worth, I look forward to giving the Storm a shot come the end of next month:)

The only reason I said that the phone will be the best seller is because I am in a position to see the actual numbers for storm sales. And it is almost mind blowing that with the known issues this device had it sold as well as it did.

And I totally understand that you may be in a position to sum up sales figures, and reports, but by making the claim of BEST PHONE EVER, but you're assuming sales of phones in the future that haven't even been dropped to the market, let alone phones that haven't even been made, or thought of yet that will eventually be released to the public in the future. Like I said, I agree with your other claims, but we as humans can't very well predict the future of cell phone sales, especially when looking 5, 10, or 20 years down the road.

This website is the most anti-verizon website I have seen. Yet they claim to be biased thats whats funny. I could see if this was attfanboy.com or iphonefanboy.com then it would make sense but if you act like a credible biased source you should probably either fire the clearly biased reporters you have or tell them to atleast act unbiased when they write... yes im refering to the bold comment like others stated.

I haven't been able to browse the website for a while but it's good to see that there are other people out there that feel the same way I do about the website. It caught my attention back when the website reviewed the Storm. Although the review didn't like the Storm. It was definitely distasteful in regards to the bashing the review gave it. I say to hell with ANY anti-carrier websites with their partial opinions!

as far as verizons top seller of all time? maybe in the PDA department, over time. I dont think it will ever outsell a spectacular regular phone like the voyager, which offers alot of features and flash, but without the manditory data plans. Voyagers fly off the shelf all day, especally now that the price is more reasonable. As for the storm vs bold debate if it were in the same store.. in the end the storm will always sell more ,as it has more flash to catch your eye and a much larger "coolness" factor. The bold is just a dressed up curve. While the curve is BB's best phone out (stability and function wise), it lacks the flashy punch that the storm has. After all, if the Iphone wasnt a flashy touch screen, would half of you care ?

The most sold phone ever by Verizon and the world is the Motorola Razer. Over 50 million sold worldwide since release.

Agreed. I think that some of the crieria in that claim need to be specified, because it is hard to believe that the Storm has already beaten out the RAZR. As much as I hate the RAZR.
