Ew those specs are hideous. "Luxur" phones are a complete mystery to me and I have never understood them, let alone the person who would actually buy one. Often their specs and OS are dated or just plain bad, and they are [obviously] over-priced.... Luxury doesn't mean it has a high price. In fact Webster gives me "an indulgence in something that provides pleasure, satisfaction, or ease."
So what the hell are you paying for? With this logic I could get a sack of bricks and charge someone $1,500 and market them as "Luxury Bricks". Granted this device has the Porsche brand name and that is obviously why this particular device is being priced so high, but not all are branded with names like this. So really.... what do they offer that is "luxury"?
Is there really a market for these? I mean old-ass rich bastards can't be that dim... Can they?

Well, Vertu wouldn't sell for around $250M if there are no market for these low-spec'd sky-high-priced devices..

man, you obviously need to understand what luxury truly means. People who buy these kind of phones are those who wants to be known for their money. Also, these kind of people who buy these kind of phones are those people who don't even bother what are the specs of a certain device as long as it can call email and message someone.

Totally agree. If I am ever rich one day (going to play the lotto now), I am getting a complete customize phone that has the spec no phone even has :D (a man can dream...)

first off, its ugly... even for blackberry... it was born with dated specs and style. I like rim's newer products, but this is a step back. They could have done the leather back, upgraded the screen and processor and squared the design of the bold, put the porsche name on it and sold it for an extra $100 and actually made some sales from the device... for a company that is consistently loosing market share, you would think they would be trying to save their company, not make a niche product that idk if it will even appeal to their target demographic. Come on rim, you're better than this!

I agree it is freaking hideaous!! If they had smartphones in the late 80s early 90s then I could see this phone being hit, but this design is just way past its time. LOL Sorry BB, but this is an epic fail. Who did you guys have helping with the design an old Porsche designer from the 80s?
