Earlier in the month we got word that pre-orders were being accepted for the BlackBerry Porsche Design P’9981 in the US for the eye-popping price of $1,700. It looks as though the P’9981 just took a trip through the FCC, leaving a few pictures of its innards for us to gawk at...

ugly and i'm not even going to mention the overpriced part, but blackberry mobile devices are always overpriced

$1700??? *trollface* I wonder who the hell would pay that much for a phone, unless they've got a matching vehicle, or can easily buy a $500 clock widget lol

Very ugly and very overpriced. A person has to be crazy to even buy a phone with such outdated technology compared to what's currently on the phone market. I still wouldn't be surprised if someone actually did buy such a phone.

i can tell none of you have own Porsche Design product before. they are never cheap and are designed by some of the best car designers on the panet. i own a lighter , wallets and cufflings by PD. if i didnt already have the new bold whcih this is based off i would buy it cause i can afford it

Add 1,5 dual-core processor, 8Mp camera full HD video, 720P screen, Dual flash or Flash Xenon, Touch screen and reduce that price then it will be perfect. 1700 USD with these poor specs no way, 650 bucks unlocked is fair
