BlackBerry Orlando is no Mickey Mouse handset

A leaked photo of a new BlackBerry handset codenamed Orlando has been released. The handset resembles the BlackBerry Sedona/Apollo, but adds a touchscreen to the phone. Overall, the Orlando is expected to be a higher-end device than the Sedona/Apollo and speculation has the handset launching with BlackBerry OS 6.1 on board.

The BlackBerry Orlando did not show up in the Q2 roadmap that we reported on recently, which could indicate that this phone will see the light of day sometime in the second half of the year. The Apollo, on the other hand, is expected to launch late in Q2 or early in Q3.

Outside of the photo, there really isn't much about the BlackBerry Orlando. Hopefully we will learn more about this model during BlackBerry World which runs from May 3rd through May 5th. The location of the conference this year? Orlando, of course.
