BlackBerry Onyx will also have optical pad
It seems the BlackBerry Onyx 9020 will not be just an updated, compact version of the Bold, since it will feature new control options as well. The phone that will be offered on AT&T, won´t sport the typical trackball like other RIM devices, but will utilize optical trackpad, similar to the one found the Curve 8520 (Gemini) and Samsung OMNIA HD. What would you prefer, trackball or optical trackpad?

I like the trackball.

I like the trackpad, but only on a phone where it's in the middle and easy to use, like the BB Gemini and Samsung Saga; not where it's on the bottom and hard to use, like the Omnia. Low trackballs are difficult for me to use, too. Directional pads are too slow (unless they have a Navi-Wheel or something similar). I'll be sticking to full-touch phones, I guess. iPhone 3G[S]? N97? Touch Pro 2? Choices, choices, choices...
