The other day, we told you that BlackBerry was
offering the Android powered Priv on sale for $349 in the U.S. That is a 30% discount from the previous price. Now joining the
BlackBerry Priv on the list of discounted BlackBerry handsets is the
BlackBerry DTEK50. The all-touch Berry is now priced at $249, a $50 savings from the usual $299 price for the model. On a percentage basis, that works out to a 16.7% discount.
The DTEK50 features a 5.2-inch screen with a 1080 x 1920 FHD resolution. The Snapdragon 617 chipset is under the hood with an octa-core 1.5GHz CPU, and the Adreno 405 GPU. 3GB of RAM is inside, along with 16GB of native storage. Those seeking additional storage can access the 256GB microSD slot that is on board. The 13MP rear-facing camera features an f/2.0 aperture, and comes with PDAF laser focus. An 8MP front-facing snapper handles selfies and video chats. Keeping the lights on is a 2610mAh battery that can be charged to 50% in just 50 minutes. Android 6.0 is pre-installed.
