RIM BlackBerry officially announced the 8300 under the name Curve, making it the second phone in the line with a name, instead of a number. The “big brother” of the Pearl combines its fun features like camera and media player, but grows in size in order to pack a real QWERTY keyboard like the one of the senior 8800. The Curve keeps the same Trackball but its camera is 2-megapixel one, the 2.5mm jack is replaced with standard 3.5mm one. It seems that the media player is also upgraded, which is good as we didn’t like the one of the Pearl. Like its siblings, the Curve will use microSD cards for memory expansion. Rumors say that it will be available by both AT&T and T-Mobile, later this year.
