Looked good up until I saw the stupid charging port on the SIDE of the phone. What is this, 2010?
And the screen is nothing compared to retina and HD screens, judging from these pictures.
I was looking forward to this phone, but not anymore.
31. itguyinto (Posts: 6; Member since: 18 Nov 2012)
The screen is 355 dpi, iPhone 5 is 325 dpi ... So ya ...
32. Raymond_htc (Posts: 430; Member since: 06 Apr 2012)
What's wrong with that?? Seriously dude. Not everyone wants their charging port at the phone's Arrrrssseee.
35. Xtasy (Posts: 284; Member since: 13 Jan 2013)

RIM is a thief
It ask for shady developer to steal from Android market and post the pirated apps to their apps market
RIM will RIP this year.

You are stupid.
RIM doesn't ask developers to port to their platform, developers just do what they want...

It looks so bland. It might be popular in corporate America, but consumer America will ignore this device. Perhaps other countries will take a liking to it but to me its boring.
25. noim1 (Posts: 297; Member since: 15 May 2012)
I looks more boring than Symbian ....Ubuntu has a change i think ,their UI & gestures are a real good looking
5. SleepingOz (unregistered)
Interface looks boring but I already love that work/personal feature!
6. shamataa (Posts: 210; Member since: 07 Dec 2011)
What a boring OS. Why buy this when you have upcoming phones from CES and other individual events later on that will have 1080 p displays and at lest a quad core or in Samsung's case a Octa Processor later on?. That is such a big waste of money and time. Its not going to go anywhere!. The guy calls it the best of almost everything?. Like really dude it hasn't even out yet and u r claiming it's the best already?. Do your research before you say false info to the people. ITS NOT. I can tell already.

Agreed, rim is always one step behind,
Why waste money for this sh*t when 8 core smartphones and flexible displays are coming?
This phone is too 2012-ish
13. IHateApple (banned) (Posts: 122; Member since: 26 Sep 2012)
Both of you guys are an idiot.
Flexible Displays are coming. When? 2014 at the ""latest"". And when they'll come, they will cost over a grand. And very few people are going to buy it.
8 core smartphone?? I LAUGH at you ignorance. It is a quad core smart phone. There are two quad core groups and you can't use both groups together.
And you guys can almost forget about 8 core smartphones coming to US. You are only going to get Snapdragon 800's in your phones.
And if you still call it 8 Cores, then you should call Tegra 3 and Tegra 4 Penta Core SoC's and not Quad Core SoC's.
And tell me one thing. You guys act like Android was never one step behind. Go back to 2009, Android was nothing compared to RIM. Now that Android has grown, you guys act like worshipers of Android.
Learn to change.

If I could give more thumbs up I will.
I mean I love the tech that is coming (Flexible Screen) however most user will not see the benefit of the quadcore nor 8 Core.
I consider myself a heavy user since my phone is mostly used for work but Im happy with a dual core and 2GB Ram. Im not a RIM Fan but for the first time I could feel that they have put some tech behind the phone. I would love to see what else is coming from them
29. Synack (Posts: 673; Member since: 05 Jul 2011)
Much agreed, but one thing; sure you can go back to 2009 when Android was in its infancy. But here in 2013 Blackberry has been around for give or take 10 years. If RIM can't get it right now, they never will. And judging from the pictures, there is NOTHING to brag about in this phone.
36. Xtasy (Posts: 284; Member since: 13 Jan 2013)
is there truly something to brag about in android phones compared to this one? cuz once this is released it will be the best and most powerful phone on the market
40. verty (Posts: 118; Member since: 07 May 2012)
You said it all. Some people are jus dumb and talk from their ass!
7. uchihakurtz (Posts: 316; Member since: 12 Nov 2012)
Typing seems like it's gonna be good but the gestures might become confusing to some people... Can't wait to play with it :D
9. Nikolas.Oliver (banned) (Posts: 1574; Member since: 01 Jul 2012)
Rim..your gonna die, people are not stupid , they won't waste their $$$ for this crap because 8 core smartphones with flexible displays are coming
Rim should have announced this phone in mid 2012, but now the industry has changed
11. Retro-touch (Posts: 268; Member since: 24 Oct 2011)
Its a 4+4 core smartphones, it never uses all four cores at any given time, hence a little.big architecture. Either way only time will tell, but they wasted too much time and lost steam not to mention people will be seriously confused on how to operate these devices
33. Raymond_htc (Posts: 430; Member since: 06 Apr 2012)
I suppose that tombstone as your profile pic must be for you. Not for RIM.
Haters, gonna hate....lalalalalalalalala~

41. verty (Posts: 118; Member since: 07 May 2012)
You are actually the most senseless CLOWN on PA.
44. Xtasy (Posts: 284; Member since: 13 Jan 2013)

10. Starscream9 (Posts: 10; Member since: 11 Jan 2013)
Well Rim did bring some innovative things....BB 10 phones will really attract people that work.
12. platformwars (Posts: 86; Member since: 14 Sep 2012)
Contrary to most of the comments here.. i actually found BB10 to be a nice OS.. Ive been on Android for the past 2 years and absolutely love it.. but Windows 8 and BB10 are exciting developments for the mobile world.. if BB10 can be a success (i think it will be a moderate one atleast).. it is going to push Anroid and Ios to do better.. It basically has small windows of the open applications and then the grid for all the installed applications.. Kind of reminds me of windows 3.11... i think that most of these so called exclusive features will be on android or Ios in the form of separate applications very soon.
14. IHateApple (banned) (Posts: 122; Member since: 26 Sep 2012)
And don't forget Android apps support.
16. Edmund (Posts: 656; Member since: 13 Jul 2012)
It's quite nice actually. A lot better than lagdroid, which will have about 5% market share in a couple of years.
30. CanYouSeeTheLight (Posts: 1100; Member since: 05 Jul 2012)
You want to know a funny fact? Most people that claim that Android is laggy or like you like to call it "lagdroid" are people that don't have Android phones or bought a Galaxy Y. I speak for my experience a lot of the phones i have seen that are on 4.1 are all smooth.
18. chezy (Posts: 20; Member since: 29 Dec 2012)
well to my knowledge the world is full of individuals that have different wants and needs.
just because some of you want 1080p 5 inch phones doesn't mean everyone else wants it as well.
so don't try to forces your wants and needs onto the next person who has different preferences to yours.
also this whole thing about having +700 000 apps in an app store is kind of pointless seeing as most are crap anyway.
19. homersimpsons (Posts: 16; Member since: 07 Jan 2013)
It doesn't look half bad. It will likely appeal to Business Users who are BlackBerry's bread-and-butter. Messaging has always been key for RIM and this OS looks to be doing it well.
It is certainly on par with iOS/iPhone which has grown completely stale over the course of the years with its boring and unchanging interface.
Android is still leading in innovation IMHO though...
21. Armor (Posts: 49; Member since: 06 Dec 2011)
Very exciting os. The phone does not need all of those cores. The os is so efficient it does not need it. If you want to see a lame os at work check out ios or android. Blackberry 10 and windows 8 phone have the latest os's with the newest features. Go RIM Go.
22. MistB (Posts: 581; Member since: 07 Jul 2012)
I agree, there's more to Mobile OS's than IOS and Android. BB10 and WP8 are great alternatives, the BB Playbook has served me well with constant updates and browsing second to none. my only complaint are checkerboarding but hopefully by the BB10 is released, all of these minute bugs will be ironed out. The OS itself looks very fluid, smooth and intuitive to use and the handset itself looks quality as always from Blackberry.
26. phljcnth (Posts: 447; Member since: 30 Apr 2012)
I don't know. With all the beefy Androids coming this 2013, this will easily be disregarded. Blackberry's lost much too many users already. Too late BB.
34. richardyarrell2011 (banned) (Posts: 510; Member since: 16 Mar 2011)
I will be the FIRST to say I don't use Blackberry NEVER WILL. But I applaud what they have done here to blackberry 10 it's a wonderful blend. They incorporated a little bit of everybody into this one keyboard looks excellent kinda like android, just the overall fluidity looks pretty excellent. This will appear on T-Mobile, Verizon, and At&t and I think it will sell pretty well. This bring Blackberry back some and that's great to see....

BB OS 10 looks like combination of all OS- es :D
42. daftastic (Posts: 87; Member since: 07 Jan 2013)
Multitasking tiles are a complete rip-off of Meego's.
It's got a lot of features though, useless ones.
