BlackBerry 10 Skype app is coming soon, but will be ported from the Android app

Skype has said that it is working closely with BlackBerry to make sure that the Skype for Android app works perfectly on BlackBerry 10 which might not put a smile on the face of those who rely on Skype and have or will be purchasing a BlackBerry Z10; Android apps ported over into the BB10 OS do not look or work as perfectly as some might hope...

Better than nothing. I dont see a problem with this as long as it works as good as it does on Android.

I haven't had any trouble with it on Android. It manages my group conversations nicely and I can make voice calls on it fine. Cant speak for video calls, never had a need for it honestly.

I hope it's only temporary situation. Native apps are always better than an Android port.
Blackberry needs to have as many (or at least the most used ones) cross-platform Messaging apps in their BB10 ecosystem if they want BB10 to be a success.
