BlackBerries to get PlayBook interface?

It's not that we don't like BlackBerry's OS interface, in fact we do appreciate its utilitarian approach to looks, but we have to admit we would like to see some more juice and flavor as we are about to see on the BlackBerry PlayBook. RIM co-CEO Jim Balsillie implied that this is about to happen…

One of the differentiating factors with Blackberry devices are the literally thousands of themes you can incorporate into them, changing the interface dramatically in some cases, especially for the Storm series. I don't see such products available for any Android powered device (short of Motorola's MOTOBLUR or HTC's gentle touches to Android) or iOS.

"It will have a hard time attracting developers...." If so, then it will have a hard time gaining market share.

I wonder if RIM will still be around in 5 years? I doubt they will be in the top 5 for handset sales.
