Black Friday for Verizon includes free red HTC DROID Incredible 2

Verizon is also offering other special pricing for Friday, Saturday and Sunday starting with the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY and the LG Enlighten, both of which are free with a signed two-year pact. The carrier will sell you the Motorola XOOM tablet for $199.99 on contract and all activations will be free over the three days of the sale. In addition, Verizon is offering 4GB of mobile broadband for $30 instead of the usual 2GB of data it offers for that price.
Verizon's Black Friday offers can't compete with Amazon's everything's a penny deal, but it is the place to go for those free handsets including the red HTC DROID Incredible 2.

Amazon is where my Wife and I are headed if we switch to Verizon, and if we resign with AT&T on Saturday on the "all WP a penny" sale. Not sure any of these Black Friday deals on Verizon can't be gotten on any other day if you look hard enough.

Here's a clip from eweek though: "Of course, Verizon's money is made in the data and service plans. Consumers must agree to subscribe to one of six talk and text plans and two data service plans. The base talk/text plan is the Verizon Wireless Nationwide Single Line Talk & Text 450 deal for $59.99 per month. The high-end plan is a Verizon Wireless Nationwide Single Line Talk & Text Unlimited plan for $89.99 a month.

It's not as free or almost free as they make it out to be.
