Bing Translator released for Windows Phone 8

In case you just bought one of them Windows Phone 8 smartphones, here's an app you should install on your device, especially if you aren't an expert on foreign languages. Bing Translator, which was available on WP7, is now compatible with the platform's latest version, so users in need of a personal interpreter can take advantage of its features...

If only it always worked like they make it look in the pictures, still looks good and my second choice after google.translate ;)

Glad this is on WP8. I use it somewhat frequently on my Lumia 900, especially when translating something for friends who don't natively speak English

Good, but still there aren't a lot of good apps. The best apps are on iOS.

i love the augmented reality part... i wonder if it has offline capabilities...? that would be awesome in places like cuba where internet is expensive and wifi is like an oasis in the desert

On my Lumia 900 it requires an internet connection for all translations, since it uses Bing as a search tool for the input. I am guessing the WP8 would be the same.

Finally! I was surprised when I was downloading my apps on my HTC 8X and couldn't find this... I had to find a third party Google powered app for my Spanish homework...
