What about the Blackberry Storm? Any hope there?

As far as I was told, the Storm works with GPS provided you subscribe to VZNavigator. So you can use Google and Blackberry Maps without GPS location, but once you buy into VZNav, you get GPS on all programs. I suspect the same will hold with Windows Mobile.

The Storm is open GPS right now, I have 3rd party apps on it from garmin and it works great. It is open local gsm radio capable, so you do the math.

Wow.. those bastards are finally beginning (more so this year) to listen to their customers to some degree. Though they still do retarded things such as crippling some of their devices, it is about time that they do something like this. Credit given where credit is due. I am not sure they deserve credit for this because they should have done this a while ago, but good for them.

i really want to know what cellphone copmpany you have, im guessing at&t haha lol

Good guess. I am not an AT&T fanatic, but I do really like the company (Obviously I should since I work for them). I will say however, I have never had VZW; therefore I cannot make outrageous statements about how AT&T is oh so much better than Verizon. I don't care for some of the things Verizon has done (or hasn't done) in the past, but I will admit I am impressed with some of the moves they have made over this past year. They have really stepped it up with their phone line-up, which is quite impressive right now to say the least. They are coming out with more and more phones with WiFi. (I personally don't use WiFi, I just use data service, but there are a lot of people who do.) This GPS move is great for them. I will always admit the truth, and I will always admit if I am wrong. I guess I just wanted to say I am impressed with Verizon this year, especially this last quarter.

Wow, def honest and to the point. I like it. I work for verizon and I used to have att. They both are great carriers and have great coverage which they better cause they both charge practically the same amounts for their service. I honestly think it just comes down to what the person likes the most. i have seen places where verizon has better service and visa versa. In the end it will be the main decision for att and verizon, I think sprint is a dying company. SO SAD.

so was that a yes to at&t haha lol? can one of you admit though verizon has better average coverage :-)

Yes....the site's comment count has dropped significantly... but most of those were garbage forum trolls anyway. The true wireless buffs will register and still contribute.
