We already told you which were the most prominent tablets at CES 2011 according to us, so we say it's now your turn to sound off...

who cares about XOOM? if you have to constantly recharge it, its useless.
2. Itzatlas (Posts: 37; Member since: 05 Jan 2011)
Its the Blackberry Playbook that you have to constantly recharge. Get your facts right before you start to bash on a product.
6. FightForTheLost (Posts: 20; Member since: 25 May 2010)
You have to recharge ALL wireless electronic devices...at some point. Plus, I want to say that the Xoom is rated half-decently for stock battery life. But if it's not good enough for you, then either (a) buy the extended battery if they make one, or (b) go to the iPad, which has superior battery life to most other tablets (but lacks a whole ton of customization and is owned by the Dark Lord Sau - I mean Steve Jobs.)

Alphabetically placing the Tabs would be an unbiased approach..
I bet on Notion ink's Adam... as it has delivered yesterday which google/ipad promises for tomorrow.. (Google's three panels & iPad's camera feature back infact at CES 2010)
If my gut feeling is right it shall always lead the learning curve.

I dont get what's so special about the XOOM, there were a couple of other tabs like Toshiba's that have basically the exact same specs, are people just that madly in love with Motorola and Verizon that they block out anything else?
Blackberry Playbook was the dominant tablet for one reason: It was actually running in full form. Most of the tabs they showed were only doing video demonstrations on the tablet, they were not actually usable. Come prepared next time guys.
46. Zelduh (unregistered)
The Adam was also ACTUALLY running. (It was the only Android tablet that people could actually play with.)

Tough choice here. As nice as the Xoom looks, as well as the Playbook, none of them really offers the hardware and design I'm looking for in a tablet. Apparently it really is that hard to find one that offers a very customizable homescreen, true multitasking (no limits or regulations), 10" HD display, loud clear stereo speakers ON THE FRONT so you can actually hear what's going on, either USB-OTG or a single USB 2.0 port or both, HDMI (not mini or micro), and either an SD card slot or microSD slot or both, Bluetooth 3.0 with high speed transfer, 64GB of built in memory, 2MP front facing camera, 8MP rear facing camera, GPS, removable battery, I have to be able to tether it to my phone, and of course good software that's light on eye candy, heavy on useful features.
I don't care what processor it has or whether or not it's dual core as long as it keeps the software moving fast, and the battery running for at least 10 hours under a decent load. I don't care what GPU it uses, and I definitely don't care about whether or not it has a SIM card slot since I'm only looking for WiFi. I don't care about a docking port but if it has one, cool. I'd like to have an Ovi Suite like software that I can use to back it up and do whatever else with, but not have to use to transfer files like with Apple products. Having the freedom to connect to any computer as a mass memory device is key here.
And that's pretty much the general idea of what I'm looking for in a tablet, that nobody has brought to the table.

Pretty much most of what you said is available on Notion Ink Adam. You could have a look if you like...
7. tabletuser (unregistered)
One of the tablets that comes close to what DOntHateOnS60 descibes as requirements seems to be Notion Ink Adam
It has - customizable Homescreen, True multitasking, excellent steeo speakers, 2x USB 2.0 ports, HDMI out, microSD card slot, 3.2 MP rotatable camera, GPS , SIM card slot(3G) and 12-15 hours battery life(best in any tablet , so far)
You may check http:\\www.notionink.com for details

Both the xoom and playbook are trash. Check out notionink.com, browse the blog.
The adam table will put up a great fight against these other tablets and unlike apple, blackberry, and motorola, NI isn't all about the money. and they are offering a truly revolutionary.
9. elmelao (unregistered)
Notion Ink Adam rocks!
10. samadhan (unregistered)
Xoom getting voted becuase of Honeycomb only
11. dialacab (unregistered)
Absolutely no contest - Notion Ink Adam
12. priths (unregistered)
Why are people voting for something which is not even out in the market?
The Xoom tablet displayed in the CES 2011 was not even a prototype. It had some pictures and animation clips to show what 'will' be there in it when it comes out in the market.
Let us vote for something which exists and stands for its innovation.
I voted for 'Notion Ink Adam'.
13. Mistry (unregistered)
Xoom has >40% votes? Based on what? We haven't even seen the actual honeycomb running on it! It's just a dang video! The device itself doesn't look any special.
At least PlayBook showed a fully working model with all its bells-and-whistle.
I might have to vote for PlayBook or Adam. They both look at least compelling and innovative.
14. durgesh (unregistered)
Notion ink's Adam.
1. Very innovative concept.
2. The development was very user based, as in the developers were constantly in touch with the requirements of the end user while making this tablet.
3.Its just awesome.
16. gugabaga (unregistered)
Looks like this poll isn't going to be fair.
Here are posts from notion ink blog:

3 times voted !
You can vote as often as you like if you delete Cookies, reset your IP and use different Browser.

I'm a notion ink fan but if what you say is true (haven't checked yet) then i agree that its wrong.
43. Mistry (unregistered)
You should read rest of the comments. There may be one or two bad apples, but the whole bucket isn't bad. Plenty others, including myself, don't believe in cheating... and haven't voted multiple times. In fact, if you read rest of the replies, you'll see that other adam fans are saying even if fans of other tablets do so, adam fans shouldn't.
We are definitely hardcore fans, but we are not here to cheat our way forward. In fact, on behalf of those who misused the polling system, I say sorry. That won't get rid of those "padded" votes, but I guess it counts for something.
17. gugabaga (unregistered)
Please cancel this poll. Notion Ink fanboys are cheating here. What is the problem with this company? It's CEO is telling half truths, fanboys are cheating.. It's worse than ever.
44. Mistry (unregistered)
I'll repost the same comment I responded earlier:

The best is Notion Ink Adam !! Innovative and feature rich and faster than anything shown there and multi tasking!! Adam is the best
19. ajesh (unregistered)
its not about cheating........just give a reason why motorola xoom......havent seen anytin solid from it.....nothing special.adam is innovative................when will this tin release guys..........not in the near future
20. gugabaga (unregistered)
It's all about cheating. It is a poll. I don't have to provide a reason why xoom or any other. Let it be 'I like the name Xoom and this is why I voted for this device'. This is peoples choice, not yours. If you like Notion Ink, no problem, vote for it. But only ONCE. Otherwise you are cheater.
To admin: Please cancel this poll, it's result is skewed by notion ink fanboys.
42. Scoobydooby (unregistered)
Right, because online polls are always accurate!
Quit being a bloody crybaby, the Adam deserves to be up top cheating or no cheating, it has virtually every other tablet beat in terms of usability, battery life, screen and innovation. Its ergonomic, it boasts its on custom UI that runs overtop of the Android OS.. I could go on.
If you dislike it then that's your loss, but stop being so childish like the poll means anything anyway.. it is and has been tilted towards two tablets anyway lol.
21. ajesh (unregistered)
k sorry guys...whatever adam gets minus 5 votes i have done...........
23. Maxflow (unregistered)
Guys please vote once.Hope the best will win.Even if one is a fanboy even then resist your temptation to vote multiple times. Thanks
24. Glenn M (unregistered)
@gugabaga - You are correct - Cheating is wrong. Many of the NI community have spoken up about it and have asked everyone to NOT cheat. It looks like it is restricted to just a few folks who got excited and forgot their values. I don't think the voting is that screwed as a result but the Adam is likely to continue to dominate in this poll as there are thousands of followers who read the blog.
On a side note - these kinds of open polls are never scientific and always open to manipulation. Don't take them seriously as some sort of proof that the result is truth. Every person reading this should look at all the entries themselves and make an edicated choice on what device best fits their needs. While many of us believe the Adam is clearly the better tablet - we are also confident that everyone who takes an honest look at them will come to the same conclusion on their own.
Don't knock the Adam because a few people got over excited. Check it out and make your own choice.
26. JMag (unregistered)
As a Notion Ink Adam fanatic, I don't think it needs people to vote multiple times for it to prove that it is the best tablet out there.
It's specs speak for itself. While the Xoom is a very nice tablet when it finally does get released--Remember, google has not even released a copy of honeycomb to the chipmakers yet for processor optimization--it (and most of the tablets at CES) is nothing more than an iPad wannabe with better features. Only the ADAM stands out above the pack with its innovative design, tremendous specs and powerful UI--which, by the way, already anticipates many of the cool Honeycomb tablet-specific feature sets.
On top of all that--it's starting to ship this week! And at half the expected price of the Xoom.
37. ergosum (unregistered)
Speaks for itself alright:
1024x600 screen (1280x800 for Toshiba & Xoom)
3.2 MP camera (5 & 2 MPix for Toshiba & Xoom)
8Gb storage (16-64 Gb SSD)
no local support
Not sure I care too much about Eden, it's not really Android anymore (has anybody seen it in landcape mode?). The only possibly interesting feature IMO is the PQ screen but very few were available and it went out of stock pretty quick.
39. JMag (unregistered)
You seem to pick out what you wanted....
one camera that swivels 185 degrees for use at multiple angles vs the two locked position cameras on the iPad wannabe Xoom,
so many ports that the Xoom internal storage is laughable at best.
the PQ which you deride for its current limit on availability... completely UNAVAILABLE on the Xoom
If you don't like the Eden, you can "pull it down" and get down to the optimized Android interface... and did I mention that it already anticipates many of the things that the Xoom has to WAIT until Honeycomb is finished, released, optimized for its chipset before it can be released....
No mention at all about ADAMs phenomenal optimization and benchmark tests.... hmmm... no comparison for the Xoom since it doesn't quite exist yet.
Form factor.... if you want an iPad wannabe, buy the iPad
Sound.... doubt the speaker placement on the Xoom will even compare to that of the Adam... but, again, we won't know until the Xoom becomes an actual product....
Cost... hmmm... quiet on that topic for a reason...?
Optimized loading of any APK file with a single click.... ?
Yes.... the ADAM's specs speak for itself
49. ergosum (unregistered)
If I buy an IPad then it wouldn't be a wannabe now.
Adam resolution and storage still sucks compared to competition.
PQ screen though great outdoor still has washed out colors compare to IPS, AMOLED or any half decent LCD. Maybe next generation will improve.
As for the camera it's still only 3mp (others have 5mp). The swivel design is great to save on cost but not much of an advantage.
The form factor of the Adam would provide for better handling but only in landscape mode, but as far as I can tell nobody has seen Eden in landscape mode (and I don't mean an app or a video).
You might have a point for the sound but most people use earphone anyway. You may also have a point for the cost but until the final price is known there is not much to talk about, but FYI the Toshiba has been announced at around $499, the Assus Transforner from $399 to $699, so there you go.
Now don't give me the waiting argument. That's what the Apple fanboy have been serving you guys since CES 2010.
51. ergosum (unregistered)
The form factor of the Adam would provide for better handling but only in protrait mode, but as far as I can tell nobody has seen Eden in portrait mode (and I don't mean in an app or a video).
27. kis (unregistered)
adam is by far the best tablet out there ! eden is great ! and i am just waiting for preorder 1 recipients opinion to order in part2 .
28. Mark (unregistered)
Notion Ink Adam rocks.
They have the best "Leaf UI" on Android that supports multitasking.
Has a Swivel Camera and Pixel screen, so an ereader and tablet in one.
Notion Ink Adam rocks, the best android tablet ever.
29. tafilad (unregistered)
Notion ink all the way.The xoom is still vaporware
50. ergosum (unregistered)
Where did I heard such a comment before?
30. samadhan (unregistered)
WHERE ARE MOTOROLA FANS?
MOTOROLA STILL NOT HANDLED BY ANY OUTSIDERS.
ADAM HAS BEEN ALREADY OREDERD.
31. inmypjs69 (unregistered)
The Toshiba runs Honeycomb as well but it didn't get as much fanfare as the Xoom. It has rubberized back; replaceable battery; interconnectivity with your TV; audio and video enhancements; adaptive display tech; full-size HDMI & USB ports, and full-size SD slot. Here is the comparison:
The Xoom will be on Verizon and with the iPhone coming to Verizon with mobile hotspot, you can tether it with the iPhone. I'm sure you can do the same with the Tosh if they are on Verizon.
32. la verité (unregistered)
What is the value of this as we can vote many times?
The future sale will more reflect which product is the best.
Some fans are afraid to not get what they already paid since a month.
It is good to try to convince themselves that a product is behind the smoke.
33. mhasija (unregistered)
"""""""""You can vote as often as you like if you delete Cookies, reset your IP and use different Browser.""""""""""""-----------> this can be done any other online poll as well, in fact on all types of online polls!
34. Andrude (unregistered)
Adam has better specs, better design, better software. And it completely sold out of the 4 different configurations it came with. Realism, not fanboyism.
38. ergosum (unregistered)
Seriously? You will tell how a 1024.600 screen or 8Gb flash drive is a better spec than a 1280x800 screen or a 32 Gb SSD drive.
And I was thinking that Apple fan boys were the worse!
FYI the Viewsonic GTablet also sold out, with much weaker specs.
The only thing Adam has going for himself is Eden and it's PQ screen. With a better PQ resolution and a better disc that would have been one killer tablet.
35. Bobman (unregistered)
OH NO THe ADAMITES ARE HERE! THEY WILL RAPE AND PILLAGE!!!!!!!!!!!
40. JMag (unregistered)
I think they will be too busy soon for raping and pillaging... since they will be receiving their tablets soon, while those Xoomians are going to have to wait until Motorola actually finishes something more than an iPad wannabe prototype.....
36. John2003 (unregistered)
I really like the fact that Android has also won the battle of the Tablets along with Smart phones. Cool, very cool. But who'd believe that the best tablet in the world is from an Indian company called Notion Ink. Check out their Adam tab, its well worth waiting for. It beats anything out there!
41. tom (unregistered)
Adam's funboys are aggressive. Who wants a low resolution tablet with limited memory and a non-standard user interface?
While Apple is rumored to work on 2048x1536 resolution iPad 2, the list in the article shows attempts to match the iPhone/iPad 1 interface.
I'm waiting for the moment msft will finally do something amazing and compete with Apple.
45. Candyman808 (unregistered)
Notion Ink Adam Rocks. CEO is telling half truth? Imagine if he tells the whole truth. Boy all this tablets will just have to go back to the drawing board like I pretty sure they be like.. "Dammit why we never thought of doing it that way?" LOL
47. onryo (unregistered)
I have followed the Adam since april, i am quite taken by the product but quite disheartened by the comments of quite a few people, ill put it down in writing exactly why i like the adam.
1. PixelQI screen (means i can finally read the 100s of pdfs i need for my work)
2. tegra2 chipset, good amount of speed vs battery life
3. good amount of ports for external devices/storage
4. simply the design of the tablet with the weight to the side would make it much easier (weight distrubution wise) to read for extended periods.
i too have seen that there have been quite a few misscommunications between rohan and the people who have been following the adam.
48. gnan.ram (unregistered)
Notion Ink's ADAM really rocks the tablet industry!! i am looking forward the release date to buy one, especially the PQi screen tablet! :)
52. Badbilou (unregistered)
As everywhere, there are Adam lovers and fanboys ...
Don't give us all the name of cheaters,I just vote one time !
