NO iOS device is made in the US. The only part of their devices that is made in the US is Samsung made A series processors made in Texas.

I read the headline and the article and the only phone that came to mind was the Moto X made in Texas. Because every other phone is NOT made by American companies they are made overseas.

And the first example you give is an Apple device? Really? Ever hear of Foxconn in China?

Assuming that we don't know about Foxconn (which is actually based in Taiwan, not in China) is funny. The phones in the article ARE made by American companies, but, as you said, they're made overseas with the help of ODMs. We see Apple in top three smartphone makers, not Foxconn, don't we?

I personally prefer Android but I also respect if someone likes IOS or WP. Somebody in an earlier post mentioned that the iPhone, though comparatively limited in functionality & customization, simply works out of the box, much better than any other phone. Can't help thinking that this line of thinking is well past it's sell by date.

Take the note 3 as an example. I can't think of too many features that are supposed to work out of the box, but don't. Ditto the z1 & the z2
